Reading some comments, I don’t think the question is « the grown up sexy thing sells », because it probably does as it has always. The thing is that after every crisis you have to get people in stores and for that, you have to show daywear.
This is their approach indeed and it’s received with mixed feelings but for me this collection solves that issue.
The last few collections were really dressy.
I don’t know if that concept of model off duty is still valid and it’s maybe hard for them to grasp the energy of those shows from the early 00’s.
In a way, at Dsquared2 it kind of works because they are part of the lifestyle. They party, they have fun and so they don’t have to « re-capture » something that was lost.
