Don't waste your money on...

Shu Uemura's Skin Purifier Cleansing Oil ... overpriced; made of mineral oil (might as well use baby oil) and often clogs pores; even the "light" version of the stuff makes me break out on my 'normal' skin. Bought the huge bottle; (looks nice and pretty sitting there though). It'll be sitting there for a while, because I find it's only safe to use it as a spot-eye-make-up-remover.

I have to disagree with you on this one :flower: Since I started using the Cleansing Oil a few months ago, my skin has never felt/looked better. Friends have even noticed how healthy my skin is - hell, even my mom and husband are using it now because they saw the difference it made.

Don't waste your money on Chanel make up. Granted, I haven't tried everything they make, but what I have tried has been shite.

Prada lip-gloss - feels disgusting.

Creme de la Mer! What a waste! Most drugstore products worked better.

Also I think that fancy brushes are never worth it.
i use CDLM and my bf cant stop commenting how my face has stopped looking blotchy, red and peeling...i'm convinced it was CDLM. Also i buy the foundation brushes from presciptives and it blends my makeup flawlessly...with cheap synthetic brushes, it leaves on foundation streakily. Brushes and lotions are 2 things you should invest in. Thats just my advice.:flower:

I guess CDLM works for some people and not for others...as is the case with most skin products.

Oh, and I actually meant hair brushes...don't know why I didn't clarify that. You're right a well made makeup brush can make a big difference.

Cream eyeshadows (ugh hate them, and they all crease no matter how much base you use)

I found that NARS cream eye shadow does not crease for me. It acts as a great base itself under shadows as it enhances their color (as a result, I don't even need to use base with it). But maybe it helps to have asian eyes.

Sephora brand eyeshadows: case is nice but shadow doesn't spread easily, it creases and it wears off too quickly

Christian Dior make-up remover was a waste; it's ok, but i am on the lookout for something better.
Lancome's perfection totale didn't do any of the things it promised to, the only "effect" i noticed were little shimmer particles on the skin.
Vinefit irritated my skin. maybe it works out well for people who do not have sensitive skin?

Don't waste your money on Lancome's Bi-facil makeup remover. Granted, it is the best mu remover I had found, until I found Almay's Dual Phase remover at the drugstore!! Exact same formula- minus Lancome's trademark blue dye- which is also a a plus. Lancome's is about 25 bucks or 4 oz. and Almay's is a whopping 5 bucks! Love it- it really melts off waterproof mascara and heavy duty liner.

Drugs and alcohol,is just nonse, and it's not gonna help you with problems, and it's not gonna make you cool..

I agree, Lancome Bi-Facil works well but there are better alternatives. If you have sensitive skin the oil can irritate the pores too.

Well said. :flower:

 I totally hated the whole Neutrogena line, everything was awful. Also, never buy ANYTHING from The Body Shop. I got a foundation/coverup from there, and it gave me the most horrible blackheads, in two days! Such a no-no. :)

funny you say that b/c i have the EXACT same problem with it.

Their eyeliners r GREAT though...

Elizabeth Arden?

I got a gift set from Elizabeth Arden...

The Double Density Mascara clumps repeatedly on me (the thick mascara wand is what's double in density).
The fragranced lotion (in Red Door Revealed), I use as a foot cream.

The eyeshadows and bronzers and SPF lipsticks have great texture and are of 'classic' colors, which is sometimes refreshing to see; but are overall very boring (will they be re-vamping anytime soon?).

I did fancy the large neon beach tote that came free with the gift set, however.
