Halle does look like Dorothy long lost daugther, They remind me of each other,because they were both vulnerable and had alot of men problems, but I think Dorothy was MORE talented, then Halle. Halle is just an Okay actress, I can't see her pulling Carmen Jones,also Halle had more opportunities then Dorothy.

I actually don't think Halle and Dorothy look anything alike, aside from their complexions. Although I think both are beautiful women.

Carmen Jones! Definitely her career highlight, she was even nominated for an Oscar for it. Porgy and Bess is also great.

I also loved her in 'The Harlem Globetrotters' and 'Bright Road' also there are some others. I find she was SUPER in like short films as well. She acted/danced/sang in many...a true triple threat.

Yeah but you know who I really think she looks like....Phylicia Rashad back when she was younger,like on the Cosby show.

OMIFAN you're so right! I didn't even think of that before you said it but yeah I see that. Halle has the potential to have some similarities but sometimes it feels like it depends more on camera angles than actual similarity. But in terms of personality I think Halle is closer to Dorothy than Phylicia for some reason.

I still don't. Their features are totally different. Again, both are beautiful and Halle was a good choice to play Dorothy.
