Ok, is Du Juan the prettiest Asian girl out there? Of course not. But the way she poses, her walk, her presence, THAT is what modeling is about. It's not about being a gorgeous face. I know lots of Asian women who are better looking than her. The average height for an Asian woman is far below that of your standard high fashion model. So, the market is limited.

Due to the way Asian women carry makeup, and have lovely features and bone structures, I hope the fashion world changes to let in shorter women. There's a huge wealth of beautiful Asian ladies out there.

Another thing I know for sure is that ecec was definetly not degrading Du Juan's beauty but only defending it. So that makes the post above me redundand as well. He was defending Du because yangyang stated that she was nothing special since noone knew her in China. I realize ecec was saying that just to make a point...but personally find it wasn't very well thought out, as seems to be the exact offense others take with it. You folks ever heard of Yao Ming? Liu Xiang? Hu Jintao? And should we consider overseas Chinese?

It would've made far more sense to ask "what person of importance in the fashion industry...?".
