Unfortunately, a remake. Spike Lee hasn't made a good film in years. She should be getting better roles than this.

Too bad: the original film is good. There is no need to remake it. And definitely, Lizzie deserves awesome roles after Martha Marcy May Marlene; she should've gotten an Oscar nod for that imo. It was as good and as central of a performance as Jennifer Lawrence's in Winter's Bone and she was nominated. Maybe because the film as a whole was overlooked. Anyhow, I'd like to see her in some important leads.
