Elle France February 22, 2024 : Iselin Steiro & Saskia de Brauw by Daniel Jackson

I love both covers. Saskia´s is giving me old Elle Italia fun editorials.

Ahhh, Iselin! I love this. I must admit that I was also hoping for a cover with the two of them together, but I'll take what I can get. This takes me back to better fashion times!

You are right, now agencies want to manage girls and boys solo..no sharing anything....i assume for social media postings,bla,bla,bla...
Such a shame!

^ It's really what you get when one magazine has a strong POV vs. one being an amorphous blob of nothingness.

Iselin is to die for. Saskia is wrong on so many levels, the ill-fitting coat, sausage fingers, the black socks and the giant shoes. That is not a model pose, that is some kind of modern dancing nonsense which has no place on a cover. If you want a model to jump, just book Caroline.

I though this was going to be like Iselin and Fraja's VI cover! I feel nostalgia from the early 2010s girls, that was the end of pre instagram era. I know It's very ELLE, but at least this magazine is giving them a place. Wish Bette's covers for the Spanish edition were like these.

Fashion magz are so into celebs right now, more than ever 😢 I don't recognize W magazine now from the Michael Thompson years, that's the example that comes to mi head.

Saskia's cover is cute but Iselin's cover is very bland, she gives me nothing.

Rather glorious.

The timeless, joyful spirit of Gile’s ELLE is alive and kicking. Just effortlessly gorgeous. Easygoing vibe that never looks precious and contrived; beautiful women with serpentine bodies that move like athletes; styling with not a lick of clownwear/infantwear/dragwear; and a photographer who seamlessly ties it all together with strong compositions that carry the momentum for 80 pages (...the last 2 spreads are WTF-- but I'll take it)… Talent, style, experience and hard-earned skills
. Learn it kidz.

Damn! This could be a Vogue Paris Special Mode issue. Thanks for sharing, Phuel!

In my era, the late 70’s through the 80’s, it was very rare that anyone did shared covers, outside of GQ, and that was well before social media. I did dozens of magazine covers between 1977 and 1987 and I can’t think of one shared cover I posed for. The arrival of the American edition of Elle in 1985 began to very slowly change that. You would also find group covers being less rare in the late 60’s early 70’s but even then it was not omnipresent and only on certain magazines with American Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen and French Elle being the biggest culprits.

Honestly, it's times like these which completely restore my faith in magazines! What an absolute feast for the eyes. First, not one but two rather delightful covers (once again) from Elle France. Then, two terrific and talented models, photographed by an equally as talented photographer. Throw Geraldine Saglio into the mix and a 'Spécial Mode' issue and I'm hyperventilating!

wow those individual portraits of them with colorful make up are divine! 10/10 for all of this!
