oh no.... no no no. i'm interested to see her interview and editorial, but that cover pose and styling seems ridiculous for a 19 year old girl starring in (what is essentially) children's films.
The newsstand cover is horrendous. Such an awkward shot and what the hell is she sitting on?
It looks like some saddle training device. I really dislike the Giles corset as well.
I don't mind Emma, but I think I need to re-read the article that stated UK Elle would have more models on the cover.
Unfortunately, models dont sell mainstream magazines.
Magazines are here to make money:
A glossy Hollywood star is, sadly, going to sell more magazines for ELLE.
You need ad sales and newstand sales to make money.
In this current climate you are going to need an accesible shot of someone famous to the public, not just the fashion world.
^^^Yeah, I have the same problem with all the magazines using celebs, esp VOGUE. The cover sometimes looks bad, but when you browse through their eds, a better image wasn't chosen to be the cover! I hope to see a better image in her ed, but if not, I'll learn to appreciate the cover!
That's a very good point as the current issue of Vogue US has a horrible pic of Sienna Miller on the cover but some really nice pics in her feature that would have looked a lot better on the cover. This will probably be the case with this issue of Elle.
