I don't really like Zhang ,
I mean , she can made good film but just bugs me ..

I was hoping to see that both of them would share the cover while clicking on this thread, knowing that it would never be possible.

To tell the truth, I don't really care for the covers, though.... especially since Jude Law seems tired or drunk with that look.

But what an odd pairing.

I was about to say the same thing?? Do they have a movie coming out together? Its like they just called agents and they both happened to be free that day.

Edit: Nvm.. the picture loaded for me, and they are on different covers.. that makes sense I guess

its a weekly magazine, so please if possible post issue/week

i like how monica looks at the second set of pics but her lips are too dark on the cover

i got this one too. considering that its their 10th anniversary this year, i was disappointed with this issue. No celebrations or commemorations ...Nothing like Cosmo which brings out a fat issue on each anniversary:(
Apart from that, it was the usual contents. Though there is a very nice spread featuring dresses
i am finding the feature on women and their "wonderful lives" a tad boring. ditto for the Breast cancer initiative. seems like they are just trying to fill pages. at least until I get breast cancer, i am not reading that junk!
there are also no international fashion spreads in ELLE anymore

As for next month's cover - Its gonna be Kareena Kapoor (this actress) :(

Elle Canada October 2006 : Hilary Swank

There is a 4 page article with text and 3 color photos(by Sylvie Lancrenon) as well as another full page color ad for Guerlain with Hilary and another page on why Guerlain approached Hilary to do their ad. Included in this issue is a 3 page article about Sofia Coppola and her latest movie called Marie Antoinette.

Does someone have this issue ? If someone does, just scan it plz, apprently there's an article about Sofia Coppola I wanna see ;)

Swedish Elle October 2006 : Caitriona Balfe by Kjell Petersson

No cover up at elle.se yet, but I might be scanning it later. Not a great cover, but ok.

Ads:

Tommy Hilfiger with Jeisa
Armani Jeans with Cameron Russell
Lancôme Miracle forever with Shalom Harlow

Features:

- Article about Anna Ternheim
- A nice run through of the supermodels from 1913 (!) onwards. Very nice, actually.
- The return of the maid (about Japanese maids), very fitting considering the result of the elections yesterday
- Anne Hathaway by Gilles Bensimon
- The Trench turns 150.
- Rock'n'roll tea party: Must be a reprint, has a shot of Anita Pallenberg.

Editorials:
Jeans on the way - M: Michelle/Marilyn, Ph: Joachim Norvik, Stylist: Pertra Middlethon: Jeans editorial which gets the attitude right (sorta punkish, nice poses), but I think that the cropping and the lighting leaves something to be desired.

Svartvit Nostagi (B&W nostalgia) - M. Madeleine Blomqvist, Ph: Marcus Ohlsson, Stylist: Lisa Lindqwister. Madeleine sports short hair in a new wave sort of cut, like a slightly longer Billy Idol thing. Very nice poses, and a nice clash between classic photography (b&W, noir style photography) and less classic clothing (fishnet stockings etc).

Mönsterpassning (Pattern fitting): M: Tanya C/Elite, Ph: Jimmy Backius, Stylist: Robert Rydberg. This is a promising new model I haven't seen before. She might be a bit on the short side (at least that's how it looks) but she is a good poser. If I'd describe her I'd say she's a baby faced red head with a punkish attitude. She's actually terribly cute. This editorial is filled with leopard prints, stripes, gold, flower prints, just wild wild styling. Backius is my favourite Swedish photographer and this is no exception, although I find the styling a bit too wild actually. (see photo below, elle.se)

Formfynd (Form find): M: Elsa Hosk, Ph: Mattias Edwall, Stylist: jenny Fredriksson. Pretty blonde Patti Hansen look-alike Elsa is the star of this early 60s inspired editorial. Simple studio setting, rather attractive but some of these shots are not as good as they could have been.

Bittersöt (Bittersweet): M: Linn, Ph: Thomas Klementsson, Stylist: Karin Smeds. soft focus on this knit-centered ed. Average.

Shoppingyra! (Shoppingspree, maybe)..Just not very exciting.

Closing shot: Caitriona is featured in a pic promising a royalistic feature on the next issue of Swedish Elle.

OVERALL: Although none of the eds shine, this is one of the better issues this year.
