So basically the same type of Paris-based fashion story Vogue Spain has produced this month also? Near enough the same title too. This has happened before between Spanish Elle and Vogue. I do love the shot of Alina outside the cafe wearing Chanel, and the one with the Eiffel Tower in the background, though.

Lots of top names for Elle Spain, the result is not so good, I'm afraid. Only Alina's edit, which looks to me like a 'Pretty Woman goes to Paris' type of storyline, with all the wild and crazy poses in such an established setting. Quite like that.

ELLE France August 26, 2016; Arizona Muse, Linesy Monteiro & Grace Hartzel by Steven Pan

You've got three top models in the most wanted looks of the season, yet it all falls flat. None of these girls look like themselves here, not even Arizona, who hardly ever take a bad photograph. I think it's all the cheesy smiling, makes. They should've just went with Arizona!

All I saw was the cow, wondering what people were doing on its patch of the world.

I like the idea of the images, but the foreground/background thing makes for a cluttered cover when you start combining it with all the other 'lines' and colours going on.

Elle France - Aug 2016...I'm not sure if I understand the cover background in each, myself. It's cluttered, I agree but also just confusing. It's a distraction and takes away from the models/models clothing. Generally blah...which isn't typical of Elle France.

Arizona's ed is my favorite. It's quite good, not groundbreaking but still good.
I don't like the covers though, I will never understand why would you take someone outside only to then block the view of the background? Just shoot in a studio in that case.

So Arizona doesn't just have the best cover, but also the best edit? She's so at ease with her surroundings, and really sell the styling here. I feel when you're doing these long type of stories that it's important to match the right girl with the right surrounding. Grace Hartzel is a good studio model, but not so much with location, and it shows here. Lineisy is seemingly the opposite. Her outdoor shots are actually impressive compared to her past print work. There's still much head tilting going on, but it seems she's slowly easing into print.

Thanks for posting all these shots, Apple! :)

Arizona's all kinds of amazing in that story.. she's such a good model.. of course she was shoved down our throats for a while and it was normal to question the level of hype but after that, and despite whatever happens in her personal life and people trying to use that to discredit her, she continues to evolve in her career and so easily succeeds at doing what girls like Grace (for example) struggle with so much, which is convey a type of aspirational beauty or lifestyle. Arizona always manages to do that and to look so.. expensive? elegant? I don't know what the word is but she's so gorgeous to me in this old-school, timeless way, not child-like or trendy elements about what she projects.

Also nice to see Elle France still being one of the best mainstream magazines.. their crazy rhythm of work keeps them more grounded and somehow more interesting too and likely to experiment, cause there's always a next week for them!
