Looking at these recent shots, I can't help but think they're like impostors of her work: They still have her trademark flirtatious vibe and girlie-attitude, but it's missing the overall elegance of her former work in the early 90s that made them so effortlessly beautiful. If any proof is needed, just look at her first book SNAPS.

I always thought Ellen should have been the one chosen to shoot Madonna's book SEX. How grand that would have been. Her sense of playfulness and uncontrived eye would have been just what that project needed at the time.
