Am I the only person who misses Elsa Benitez? She's still around - sort of - but aside from SI,(not to be taken seriously - although I assume they pay well - the girl's got to make a living) Newport News, etc, her career has pretty much fizzled. Too bad! She's truly beautiful, and has great elegance and class too. Here are just a few of my own scans, from the Fall '99 VSC, for anyone who cares:

No, sorry - but I speak & write a bit of Spanish. I live in NY, where there are over 2,000,000 hispanics! But I love Elsa (and Salma Hayek too ) They are both such lovely latinas.

Rio 93 & Joseph 26. Hi and I'm glad some people still think Elsa Benitez was the tops! She really deserved to be a superstar ! And too tall you say?!?! Hmm - I always thought a fashion model could never be too tall (or too thin).

Yes and a couple of years ago VS...but she is still forgotten she never was the top....should she have been?...I don't know I dig her but I've seen better...she came along at a rough time...just my thoughts

Hola WEIRDO and many thanks for the covers . I never saw the two VEINTITANTOS covers before (hardly even looks like Elsa), or the Aug. '96 It VOGUE, or the Feb. '97 MC, or the Apr. '97 UK VOGUE. She's heavenly. And the June '03 Mex COSMO is absolutely fabulous - she's so hot ! I first fell in love with her when I saw her on the cover of the May '97 COSMO. I'm so sad that she never became a real supermodel .

Glad you like them! I'm pretty sure she got to the point where she was considered a supermodel. Although, we haven't seen much of her after she got pregnant and had her baby. I guess she decided to become a full-time mom...
