Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2022 Milan

It’s very predictable. It almost looks like a licensing situation via the 90s. Personally I think Pucci doesn’t really work in todays context, I think it can only succeed with the right push like courreges.

the collection itself really takes Puccis ugliest prints and puts them all over unimaginative shapes, drowning the models in swirls. Tragically, the strongest items are the pillows.

They have changed the strategy and I think this collection and the presentation works well with the strategy.
It’s not about being part of the fashion conversation but much more on the lifestyle. And build on the foundation of the brand.

It’s not groundbreaking but it’s decent.

It's a great, straight-to-the-point commercial collection. I like the way she paired audacious psychedelic prints with easy-to-wear items. The bags are cute. But the shoe departments can get a little help, call Pierre Hardy maybe?

I like Camille's approach, it's not pretentious, and not trying too hard to make a "fashion statement", it is very in tune with the philosophy of the house. Give it time, and Pucci can be exciting again.

You know... I would actually like that lol. I enjoyed her time at Gucci. It wasn't crazy groundbreaking but it always managed to feel special to me. If she could go to Pucci and rival on the same level/vibe as her Gucci I think it'd be quite successful and chic
Frida could have worked right after Peter Dundas to keep the momentum around the house and it « at the time » new found fashion relevancy.

I think the house has downsized drastically since Dundas left. Miceli is there to re-establish Pucci around (she is someone important in the industry), create some sort of energy around the house. Even the price point is interesting and the house will operate in drops apparently (The Fenty strategy in a way but adapted with theif network of stores).

I think Miceli is interesting because she is the targeted customer in a way. She is the woman with money who goes to St Barths, Capri, Monaco or Zanzibar.

Could be! I'm willing to give her a chance if she is who she's designing for. That would be interesting to see instead of the usual pandering to teenagers like everyone else. This collection I don't like so much. The combo of the prints and colors she used along with the like mixes of fabrics she chose are a bit icky to me. The garments themselves too. Some of the sportswear is gross. And I'm not sure about menswear lol... As much as I like Pucci in general, when I envision it on a man all I can see is some 70 year old gay guy in Fort Lauderdale.
