The bangs kind of makes her forehead look really long. It is like how people with really long legs always have too short trousers. Well, Emma has too short bangs.
Actor Emma Watson (R) and activist Marai Larasi attend The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 7, 2018 in Beverly Hills, California.
She was unfortunately one of my least favorite looks of the night, nothing really worked for me from the hair to the shoes. Shame, because it shouldn't take much to make such a beautiful girl look good.
The whole look is a disappointment. The third photo is so unflattering, she doesn’t look like herself.
She was styled by Jany Temime, who was the costume designer of the Harry Potter films starting from the third one.
What a mess. The look could have been saved with nicer jewellery and some cute heels. The dress was bad enough already, but the accessories made it worse imo.
I actually like the fringe! I really dig the too-short-on-purpose style on Emma. Yes, maybe her forehead is a little too long for the look but I think it edges her up a bit. But maybe I'm biased because I would totally get that fringe if I could pull it off ink:
I'm also really going against the grain here but I also like the BAFTA's Tea Party outfit. It probably could've been better if the trousers were cropped and she wore a different style of brogue - but I liked that it didn't quite work.
I don't hate the Golden Globes dress but I don't love it either. (Those shoes are terrible though!) However, I just want to say... That picture of her onstage next to Robert Pattinson... She looks like a Ghibli character when they smell or eat something bad/get angry.
