I agree with this one, as beautiful as Yaya is,she did think she was " more cultural " than anyone else in that show although there were several beautiful afro american girls in ATM.

I'm happy Eva won, she might be a bit too commercial and looks a bit " halle barry " - ish, but I would stop and look at Evas face while flipping thru a magazine, than anyone else from the rest of the ATM group.
Many girls were pretty there and had a nice personality, but Eva had that
something " extra "

Amanda could've had a completely different look if they didn't take away her already very pretty red hair. I thought the red worked so much better than the albino blonde they put on her.

If Amanda won I would have been very upset... She is not attractive at all, and bores the hell out of me. I do think personality means something because it helps if a photographer likes you.

I'd like to meet the person who would say she is unattractive. But hey... to each their own... and have you been watching all the episodes? Amanda is full of fun, quirky humor and personality.

see... I think Amanda is much more exotic looking than Eva. Being black doesnt equal being exotic nowadays... I sort of think some people think that.... Amanda's bone structure is much more exotic in terms of proportion. Eva's beautiful, true, but I think that Amanda would have been a much better choice.

i could picture her in vogue and doing runway shows if amanda would have won she would have been triping on the dark runway the only runway show she could have been doing is micheal kors a show with a white backround and in five years she would bee blind
and it take some models two years to be famous so she would not have been successful

I think what everyone needs to remember is that this a TV show and that no matter who won its not like they would ever be a "real" supermodel...just look at the first two winners... how many spring runway shows did either of them do (in fact the first winner is going to be on the Surreal Life 4)

And since it is a TV show obviously the producers are going to want to pick someone who the audience likes and can relate to and that was Eva. Even if Amanda or Ya-Ya had won, I doubt they would have become "top models"... they are way too old

I just think that if Tyra meant to take this seriously then she's not doing a very good job in terms of selection. The entire fashion industry thinks it's a joke and she really hasn't picked a "winner" for the last three seasons. Eva as ANTM is particularly ridiculous.

Ok, yes, she looks awesome in this Covergirl ad but can she work a Dior dress with a 3ft train and not look stumpy next to Eric O'Connor? Can she carry a W or Vogue cover without Tyra's face next to her? You need both sides of the coin to be a 'top model.' Her as winner has me utterly confused.

Perhaps in Tyra's haste to have a black winner she hated on Yaya's confidence and this is the result, just a thought...
