Ever had your shopping experience ruined?

i was shopping with a friend at the saks in bal harbor. the associate accidentally spit on my face while talking to me, but the awful part was he touched my face to wipe it off like no big deal. ugh.

Oh sh*t, laugh my *** off, he actually wiped it off your face? This has to be the one of the best threads I've read in a long time. I've had shopping experiences ruined too. Obviously things aren't funny at the time, but they are hysterical written down.

i always hate going into gucci because they make me put my bottle of water in a bag
for god sake....its not like im gonna go downstairs and chuck water all over the clothes

even if i spilled it ALL over the floor its so dark in there, nobody would even see

Ive had that happen @ Gucci, I just nonchalantly give them my trash(drink) as if they were the maid HAHAHA..now I feel kinda bad lol

When I was looking at jeans and a lady looked at me up and down and went: "you're too tall to be shopping here" (I'm not that bad...5'10....)

whenever it has to end early or when I can't find what I'm looking for

I was in Forever 21 (so i wasnt having fun in the first place), and some guy who worked there said my Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses made me look like terminator... ha ha... good one... its funny because they are shield sunglassess and the terminator has shield sunglasses... idiot...

Which Style are they?
What do you think of Forever21 Menswear?
Who cares your sunglasses are probably his weekly check

my shopping experience gets ruined if they ask me to take my bag away when i enter
or if whomever i'm with gets mad because i did not buy anything

i like window shopping ! alone and quietly! :ninja:

My shopping experience gets ruined sometimes when people bother me about the price of things. I save up my money to buy maybe 1 nice thing, they buy a bunch of less nice things. I take exceptional care of the nice thing and if I get bored of it I can just sell it on ebay, so what's the big deal? It's not like their 10 - 20 cheaply made things have any resale value. :ninja:

 I love this thread! Cracks me up so much.
Once I was in John Lewis, and I was looking at the make-up @ the Benefit counter and the first thing the lady said to me was: 'How much money do you have with you?.
I was like: 'Erm, Im just here to look so tomorrow I can bring my money to buy it'.
I'm such a bad liar

Yes! Whenever I go shopping with someone else, haha. I'm the type that likes to shop *ALONE,* completely alone. When I enter a store, I become temporarily deaf to anyone rambling around me - so my friends would get insulted if I just started randomly ignoring them..

I tried going shopping with my cousin once (she's the type that's a slave to trends) in Sephora, and, well, okay.. I know Sephora and it's brands like the back of my hand, I spend WAY too much money & time there (the staff knows me by name), and my cousin does not have a freaking clue.. So I was having to tell her that this brand's good, this brand's bad, this brand won't last on your lips, this brand RUINS your lips, etc.. If I wanted to have to do that, I'd teach a course..

^^^ ouch!
My sister Ruskey has no clue on make-up, and I help her and she always watches after every second what im donig, then she does it all on her own and she comes out looking like trailor trash! :yuk:

This hasn't anything to do with rude sales people but it totally ruined my shopping ...

I was doing last minute shopping for fancy dress to wear to my friend's wedding and was standing in a deparment of a store that's always pretty empty and I was picking out a dress when I heard a weird noise somewhere next to me and this old lady had fallen over and knocked her 3rd teeth out and her nose was bleeding pretty strongly.

I kind of panicked and gave her a tissue for her nose and got blood all over my ivory wool coat and then I started yelling for an SA because noone was near me (but then of course there were loads of people staring at me like I was a complete freak show. Then the SA came and they called the ambulance because the woman probably broke her leg and was in a lot of pain and I left with all those people staring at me.

I still had to get a dress which I eventually did but it was cold and I had to keep on my bloody jacket and got quite a few more stares :(

rude sales people are a give in but i hate it when you bring people shopping with you and they like watch you and follow you around while you shop. then they critique everything you pick out. like i get we are supposed to be spending time with each other and all but seriously back-up haha.

oh and when my boyfriend starts whining about me taking too long...not cool

agree completely. I like the higher-priced items, but when I see that scowl from someone it is frustrating. Especially my father, he'll ridicule me and then go and buy 20 useless chotckes (sp?) because they were so inexpensive. It's funny, because with clothing I have one closet and a dresser and he has 2 full closets of stuff he never wears but owns because they were cheap. I think I get a tad more use out of my items:lol:

that is definitely the way to go, i've gotten so used to selling things on ebay that I often determine the value of an item by what I think I can get on eBay for it. If it is an item that I like and I can get 75-90% of the money I paid for it on ebay even if it is slightly used, then I usually would buy the item. For the same reason however I can't justify spending full retail or close to retail on Prada or Gucci items because fakes have ruined their resale value on ebay but so far my efforts have been going well as my closet is stocked and I am only a tiny bit in debt. :innocent:

oh btw my shopping experience is usually ruined if my gf goes on and tries on lots of outfits at h&m or zara and I become stuck roaming the store for 20-40 minutes. it wouldn't be that bad if I was more interested in the stuff they have for men's but I am not that into it. we are working on compromising this situation though

Today at Highpoint
This little girl walked past me and gave me the death stare like 20 times. And I walk past someone else they do the same thing. I don't know what's wrong with people these days. ><"

For a while now I have been looking for a nice sweater/jacket that I can put over whatever outfit I'm wearing and head to school. Today, I found the perfect one at H&M. Casual, but also different from your regular hoodies or jackets. But, of course, they didn't have the size I want. The other sizes that fitted me were shades of red: red, pink, and a even pinker pink. And it was so perfect.

And most recently as I was shopping for Christmas this group of pre-teen girl look at me and than look at my bags (The noisy b*tches just stared at the Coach, Nordstrom bags) and then perceed to walk across me than stop. What the hell? They gave me an EVIL look and stop me in my way. Hell I was piss enough since it was early but this time I ate. I perceed to shoulder knock the one who gave me the look down. I think she fell halfway before holding onto one of her friend. I gave the look she gave me back. Actually that cheered me up

 Some people just need to get the shoulder smackdown...accidentally of course. :innocent:

Overweight bitter women in their 30's and 40's give me nasty looks at work sometimes. When they start wearing make-up, putting together an actual look, and look in the mirror before they leave the house then maybe they can judge me! *pish*

On Saturday night I decided to go to this mall about 20-25 minutes away that has high-end outlet stores and I wanted to go to Claire's boutique. I had picked up some stuff at a different Claire's earlier that day, but one of the rings didn't fit and I knew the other Claire's didn't have it in a smaller size. So first I stop in Neiman Marcus Last Call to look at the Handbags, which the current selection consisted of bags that were both ugly or plain and overpriced. But there was this cute scarf marked down from $28 to $7 so I decided to get it, I went to the handbag check-out since I got it in that section and there is one woman in front of me being helped. The snotty saleswoman looks at my meager purchase and says something like "They can ring you up over at Customer Service....there are more lines open there." She just added that last part so she didn't sound completely rude, but it didn't help. So I go over there and there 3 registers open, 1 cashier has a clear line but is concentrating on something and won't look up or call me over and her closed sign was nowhere in sight. So then a couple is finished at the counter on the end so I shimmy down there with my scarf.

The cashier gets busy with some employee or something and takes 5 Minutes to even tell me he would be with me in a second. I waited 2-3 more minutes of being ignored in which I noticed the busy bitchy cashier woman in handbags had already wrung up two other people since finishing with the woman who had been in front of me before I left.:angry:

So I dropped the scarf on a impulse table by the registers and left.
