Eyeliner

^Sara_1987, may sound odd but i swear by Maybelline's Define a Brow pencil a cheap, ultra fine eyebrow liner as an eyeliner. great for eyeliner amateurs, phobes or those that just want a natural, thin line with minimal blending needed. i always go over the line with a dark matte eyeshadow for added longevity and this step would help fill in any gaps as well.

The eyeliner at Peter Som is my latest obsession:

Anyone know a good color to use for this effect? I've tried heaps of colored eyeliner, but never a yellow.

^That is wicked. It's not necessarily an eye liner, they could have applied a really pigmented yellow eye shadow wet...but who's to say?

^^ Oh, that's fabulous.

Kosmonaut, do you have a credit for that Peter Som photo? I'd like to save it on my computer. :flower:

what do you think of a little bit of liquid eye liner and red lips? with some mascara

What is there to think? It's a very common but very lovely make up look, very 1950's pin up girl.

Bobbi Brown do lots of colours. I especially like Violet Ink and Black Mauve Shimmer Ink.

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist in my country. Maybe I can look the next time I go back to the UK to visit my parents.

Kosmonaut - I like it. This is almost the kind of bold look I want to go for, but with purple eyeliner to bring out the green in my eyes and not really over the whole eyelid.

Hello! I'm sorry if it's already been asked- it probably has- but which liquid eyeliners would you recommend in terms of good staying-power?
I'm a big partier and a big fan black liquid eyeliner, but I often have the problem of it smudging/starting to run down my face a little when I've been dancing all night. Doesn't look great in photographs! So could anyone recommend any really good liquid liners?
I live in the UK and I don't have a huge budget... something I can buy in Boots or Superdrug tomorrow morning is what I'm looking for.

^ Maybelline's Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner is pretty good. I don't know if England gets Maybelline a lot but it's pretty good in terms of budget.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid liner is great!! Excellent staying power, doesnt budge, inexpensive and the wand makes application suuuper easy!

I use Urban Decay's 24/7 Gel liner, Stila's Smudge Pot and MAC's Liquid Last liner.

ohhhhh I've been eyeing the smudge pots by Stila for a while CaitlinC...any recs for a brush or application?? If I use my MAC #266 or #210, will that suffice?

Personally, I prefer #266 but #210 should be fine.

excellent!!! I shall purchase tomorrow...the girls at the counter for Stila arent so friendly with zero customer service so I never bother to ask them about which brush is best!

Cheers again

I'm obsessed with Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliners! They are amazing. However, I'm looking to branch out and see if I like any other brands because I'm addicted to wearing eyeliner. Any brands you recommend?

wow...i left my eyeliner at the home a few days ago and just as an emergency i grabbed Maybelline's Eye Studio gel liner because it came with a brush for about $16.00 or so after doing a quick google and seeing some good reviews.

Holy Potato its VERY VERY good! Even the brush it comes with is awesome...i am VERY impressed, and you cant beat that price.

It stays on black for the entire of my 12 hour days, washes off easy, zero smudge, really creamy lovely texture, i doubt itll dry up and fantastic on my very sensitive eyes.

Kudos to Maybelline..a great product!
