F/W 07.08 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

^I do think that a claim of 17 girls seems so outrageous that no one would even consider making up something of that nature (Just for this example, though)

I do not want supermodels for Versace. I think that instead of group shot, they should do pairs. I think Agyness alone would be such a perfect fit for Versace though......(Donatella I know you hear me )

I was going to say exactly that. Very Stella. I could easily picture Agyness in those multiple shots by Avedon with this collection.

i agree with you, salvatore, about no group shots. i would actually love for a solo campaign... but i'm really longing for liya, though it will never happen. i just think the chainmail dresses are the strongest pieces and that someone could really do a great subtle egyptian thing with her and those dresses. i like the collection as a whole but i really don't care to see anything else other than those short dresses in the ads...

You know that would work very well considering that this was the first time in a while Versace has worked with "shapes" and by Egypt being very "geometrical" and architectural, it would very well work. And Liya would be so beautiful for it, yes! I wish Versace would start to think outside of the box more!

I don't see the whole Egyptian look in the Versace collection that you guys are talking about, but I think could see Tanya D. and Catherine McNeil for the ad campaign. But I would love to see Hilary used

The most unexpected move Versace could pull on us is if Daria gets the campaign on her own. It's either that or they'll just use the same line up of models they used the previous 2 seasons

Tanya D would be an awfully wrong choice I would say. I like her fine but I don't think she's Versace material. She's more suited for YSL or JPG.

^^julesrules815... i was referring to the group of short metallic dresses on stam, coco and agyness... (and perhaps even the long version on tanya). they have this heiroglyphic (sp?) sort of detailing, especially the one on coco. especially with the makeup from the runway, it could be stellar... Liya, Bruna, Tanya and Catherine McNeil.

of course it wouldn't be very ''in your face egyptian"... but it could work well and just be a modern, beautiful set of pictures... going back to when fashion ads were beautiful photography as opposed to displays of the new "it" bags and shoes.

A member posted in Julia Dunstall thread that she will also be in the DOlce and Gabbana ads. I think this member works for Model Models, as they also confirmed that Johanna Strickland shot the Marc by Marc Jacobs fragrance campaign in Hawai and posted some other great info about Mode Models unrelated to ad campaigns.
