yes! please don't be fooled, kimkhuu!!

its fake because in the end part the LV should be in the middle and there shouldnt be more than one LV. On a side note i don know if the monogram gets cut off by the seam that means its fake, but i could be wrong.

Is this real or fake? The auction ends today so please help an enquiring mind and a wallet to know the right answer!

I don't know for sure, but I would say fake because of the white tag hanging off (how many luxury purses do you see with tags hanging off of them?) and because it's $30 (unless the seller has a reserve price).

However, regardless of whether it's fake or not, I think you should get it if you like it and it goes with your wardrobe. Afterall, the bag itself is just a purse with a sequined pattern, no logos that scream Valentino or anything ;)

definately fake....look at the quality of the fabric/leather...and the tag is a giveaway

Hi everyone,
I recently discovered this forum and I think its great! I adore fashion and actually want to go into a fashion related field, preferably PR. Anyway, my main obsession is handbags. In fact, I recently received several designer handbags as presents from my parents. (I'm only 20, so while I do occaisonally spend my own money on bags, my parents know about my obsession and often give them to me as gifts.) Anyway, I received a gorgeous classic LV speedy and a darling black Prada purse with a gold handle. I am positive that these are authentic because they were purchased at the stores. However, I also received a Gucci clutch that my mother purchased from an auction. My mother is excellent at authenticating items as am I, yet the designer we are least familiar with is Gucci After questioning several friends it appears as though the clutch imay be authentic, but we are not 100% positive. The pattern matches those on authentic Gucci and it even meets up perfectly at the opening of the clutch. There is also a silver stamped Gucci logo on the inside of the clutch. Do they make it in silver? I've only ever seen gold. One side of the fabric on the inside is made of a very soft leather-ish material. But the other parts of the fabric on the inside is made of a weird blue fabric thats not very soft. The style of the clutch looks to be vintage, but the bag looks brand new. I'm really confused about the authenticity of this bag so any help would me much appreciated. I'll try to post pictures sometime. Thanks!

Welcome to TFS! :flower:
It's kind of hard to say whether it's authentic or not, although I'm very much into Gucci I'm not sure about this one. Perhaps pics will help us out ;)

Guys, can we please remember to keep all real/fake topics in the one place? That's what this thread is for ;)

Perhaps you could call a Valentino Orlandi store and ask them if any of their handbags ever come attached with a tag and plastic ring. Valentino Orlandi bags aren't usually replicated, the seller maybe got it as a gift and was told it was authentic so he/she may not even know if its fake. To me it looks fake, because of the quality and that stupid tag. Luxury bags usually don't come with tags, all the tags and cards are inside the bags and certaintly not attached with a cheap plastic ring.

Does anyone know of a good store in Manhattan that has a wide selection of good designer knock-off bags for a decent price, you know nothing too expensive.

Hmm I think this is the right place to pose this question...

I just received a LV Papillon 30 for my birthday and really love it and now I am thinking I would like to save up for a LV Pink Cherry Blossom Papillon. To my knowledge they were limited edition and are no longer sold in LV stores...correct me if I'm wrong because I would much prefer to buy it from their store.

If I am right though that seems to only me with one option...eBay. I looked at pictures on http://www.mypoupette.com/ of this purse but then I have heard not all the purses featured on their site are real so I wanted to post the pics I found there to get people's opinions here. Because if I had pictures to reference to of a real one...that obviously helps. ;)

I was also wondering about what I might expect to pay for one...I assume it will run over a thousand...but then some of the prices I see on eBay seem a touch inflated even for a purse no longer sold.

Any other information people could give me on this purse would be appreciated, especially from those that own the purse. :flower:

I just think they are adorable...probably because I am a huge fan of Hello Kitty and that's what the purse reminds me of.

Pictures from mypoupette:

Amara - hmm... Aren't they about 3,900? anyhow, be careful.

oanadobre - Report the counterfeit Valentino to eBay.

It's not E-bay, it's a romanian bidding site. And there are no Valentino Orlandi stores in this God forsaken country...
