Uhrrmmmmm.

Oh you guys will love this: I reported a stand outside of my local movie theathre to the Louis Vuitton store at my mall and the stand is no longer there. Hahahah I feel evil :innocent:

that last LV is authentic. the picture is from eluxury ... + i loove that bag, it's adorable. it's the marjorie mini monogram .

not sure about the auction you got it from, though... if they're using elux pics, then that's kinda sketchy. haha

What the hell is this? It's presented on E-bay as a "Birkin Monogram"

OMG, I don't know if I should laugh or cry. It's so disgusting and ugly. I feel so sorry for people who actually buy these bags.

hi...been lurking for a bit but had to poke my head out for a big  on the "birkin monogram"

I thought I'd seen The Horror Hybrid recently ( a jelly-ahem- birkin with LV cherry blossom print) but that pic above...wow

well, i live in norway, which doesnt sell louis vuitton anywhere. its mostely fakes around here, and today on a classtrip, i saw this girl had a knock off of an multicolor in black. all thembols were wrong it didnt even stand LV on it. it was just soo ugly. and then another girls asks "is it real?" and then the girl say "no its a fake louis vuitton". i had to use all my powers to stay calm

eBay should force fakes to a separate section.

I really cannot understand why anyone would willingly pay hundreds of dollars for something not authentic, especially if it's a really poor copy.
well said.

Has anyone noticed that fake vintage designer bags are becoming more common and more available lately? I bought a vintage 1970's christian Dior bag, which i thought was authetic and was not impressed that it seems to be a copy. It didn't cost alot, but its the thought that people are now copying the older logo/design and passing them off as authentic vintage. Any one else seen this?

I found it on Ebay. It is called 'Vintage Authentic Louis Vuitton Folding Garmet Bag'
but I dont find it looking original...

And this wants to be 'LADIES GUCCI RED LEATHER SHOULDER BAG PURSE VINTAGE '

I think it's fake... I analysed the picture (nothing to do at work, heh)
That brown saddle bag definitely looks like a fake. Just looking at the strap alone says alot. I know Dior did do brown logo bags, and have only seen the vintage bags, in that colour. I think the 'Dior' logos are too small. I have a double saddle in denim and no way are the Dior logos that small. My sister has the brown vintage chain bag and the logos are thinner. from what i can see it doesnt look authentic, its correct to say that it is difficult to say 100% that a bag is fake without being able to see close up or internal pictures of the suspected item. ;) ;)

When you look at all the stuff on ebay (especially Louis Vuitton) 99% of the stuff is fake (especially if its new). Everything says: murakami 'style' or 'inspired' (or something like that)Chances are, if you're bidding on something Louis Vuitton on ebay it isn't real. Why would you be able to get a new, real louis vuitton wallet (or whatever) for 100 dollars? it makes no sense. I'm 15 and I can tell that the stuff is fake!

Also, I don't understand people who buy fake things. I mean, I'd rather have a completely different purse then a knockoff- It's all or nothing people!

Anyways, let cheap people have their knock-offs, theyre not fooling anyone!

I find that there are some fake "vintage" bags on ebay, but I was even more surprised to come across one in real life. I was shopping in Yorkville the other day when I walked into this store, and there was a reproduction of a classic gucci bag from the 80s. It was brand new, very plastic-y, and very fake.

I'm a huge fan of vintage bags, and I find that quite horrifying! However, as with the many fakes, I find that its quite easy to tell which ones are fake and which are not. The real ones are way superior in craftsmanship, and they will usually show some signs of wear because of their age. :flower:

I agree with you to an extent. I dont think its that easy to spot a fake vintage, not unless you know what to look for, or are a pro, which i am not. when i bought my bag, i guess because its the honeycomb pattern, which is probably rare, i liked it so much, that i didn't study the pictures hard enough, and i didn't expect to find that print on a fake bag. I emailed the seller today and she seems to be very convinced that it is 100% genuine, she even goes as far as saying i should take it to the Christian Dior boutique for clarification, but i only paid 14UK for it, so see no point in taking it for authentication. I believe its a fake, because the inside is lined with canvas, the internal edging is raw and not concealed by piping or tucked in behind the lining, the edges arent matching or lining up and the gold internal tag when i lifted it, it came up with lots of glue behind(we thought the seller might have glued it down) so that isnt a major factor.

I think unless you have dealt with the same patterns it might prove to be a laborious and confusing task to tell the differences.
;) :flower:
