Fashion Collaboration: love it or feel numbed to it?

I'm not numb to the actual collaborations, but I am numb to the generic designs that are supposed to appeal to the mass market. You just know that when a big time designer comes to Target or H&M, he or she is just going to regurgitate watered-down versions of their greatest hits. Instead of using chiffon, they use polyester. Instead of using jersey, they use a cotton blend. I think the marketing execs really don't give designers a chance to sell true creativity.
