Cindus ... two things. First I edited your post to make the pictures fit one above another so that they did not expand the screen to the right and make it hard to read the other posts.

So you and others know, just put a couple of spaces between each picture and they will post vertically like this. If you post pictures without spaces between them ... they will load horizontally and mess up the screen.

Secondly, I like what you did with the black. It's so hard to make it look good when it's not specially lit ... it goes flat looking. But you rescued it from that problem ... but using interesting shapes (#2 & #5), sheerness to see the skin underneath (#5 & #2) and the play of the black against the skin at the chest and the use of shiny satin (#2 & #3). If you had not done that, the clothing would have been flat and boring, since no special lighting was used to show off the fabrics or details. Well done!

I like the model, too ... she's strong looking ... perfect for this look.

Thanks BetteT, I really appriciate some constructive criticism.
The whole black on black thing is definitely a favorite of mine, even lots of layers can be kept simple.

And i'll do my best to keep posting the right way, just learning how this site works!

And the model is really good, this was only her third or fourth shoot and she was amazing.
Her name is Josephine and she's on www.unique.dk - i think she could come far.

Hey people,

I'm looking for stylists, make-up artists and fashionpeople to work with in SAO PAULO, Brazil. I recently moved here to work for a advertising agency and to do advertising and fashion photography.

Send me examples of your work and please fwd my request to any contacts you know who might be interested.

Website: Jacob Langvad
Email: [email protected]

Sincerely,
Jacob

 the last photo!

Did they give you her shoe size in advance? Her feet look like clubs in the shot with no shoes. I recommend for the most part to only attempt shoe-less when the model is doing a more dynamic pose or sitting. You know what I mean?

Thanks!

Yeah, they gave me her shoesize but the shoes i brought was either small in sizing or her feet was a bit bigger than what they told me! But that happens a lot... ^_^

smashinfashion ... I'm going to edit your post to place the images vertically. The way they are posted now ... horizontally ... extends the other posts way to the right. It really makes the other posts extremely difficult to readbecause we must use the scroll bar on every post.

EVERYONE ... Please, before posting pictures .... take time to read this thread pinned to the top of this forum about Credits/Sizing and Placement of Pictures to keep your images from messing up the screen. When posting ... be sure to place a space between every image (as I just said in post #323. ) :innocent:

Thanks, everyone, for taking time now to make sure that you can do this correctly! :flower:

Smashinfashion, i really like the overall idea of the story. But i think picture 5 and 7 is a bit too simple and ladylike, compared to the strength and colours of the others.
And in picture 3 she could have been retouched a bit more ( i know you probably didn't have anything to do with this!), even though she has a great body, her hips look a bit big because of the pose and the way the dress stretches.

But i like your choice of colours and lines - and that the accessories are there but don't take over the picture!

smashinfashion I think that you followed the "red line" very well.. all the outfits definately follow the same style which is great

I love how your not affraid of colour and you tied it together very well

^there are some good stuff!!!
are you grom Greece? it's twice in my life I hear Tecla...

Okay so i'm a little intimidated posting in here but i just want to get some advice on my first attempts at styling. I just had my sister pose as a model, I took the pictures and styled so it's all completely amateur.
