Fashion Trends You Succumbed To

destroyed jeans - I didn't think I'd start wearing these but I just love them.

terry and velour smocked dresses

gold accessories - I used to be a die hard silver lover, but now I'm all about gold sandals, gold bags and gold chandelier earrings.

sequins - I can remember a few years ago when I thought sequins belonged on big blonde over-40-and-feeling-foxy type women in Atlantic City, but this fall, I love cardigans covered in sequins and sequined halters.

*'High-end' jeans.. I have 2 pairs of PDC's :innocent: they look great&were only $50 each though!
*Beaters, but not too often

Uh.. can't think of too many more worth mentioning. I'm very young so I get away with a lot of trendy stuff.. I just don't wear it the way everyone else does (like a beater, ruffle mini, and flip flops.)

me 3... :ninja:

:PI'm not about to feel bad because I just happen to like something just as other people are liking it as well. Succumbing to fashion trends...it doesn't sound that bad to me. As long as I don't become a trend wh*re. ;)

1. Uggs - which I always hated, especially when I was in LA and ppl were wearing them in 85 degree weather UGH! LOL, but then my sister bought a pair (actually 3) and 1 was too big so she gave them to me. Hate to admit it, but I have this horrible itch to wear them but swore to myself that I would only wear them in "appropriate" weather, so I'm waiting for the 1st snowfall...
2. Flip flops - In LA, slipped on a pair of my cousins to go to the store and got hooked. Been wearing them all summer with me hippy chic look.
3. 80's flashdance style top (everyone here in NY has 1), but it looks really good with my tacky a$s flip flops...
Oh well, guess I'm a trend follower not a setter lol.

I bought my first pair of flip-flops this year. But I only wore them a few times.

Ripped jeans. But I had them before they were trendy, and I truly like them (when done in "unique" ways).

Ringer tee. I'm not sure why I bought this. It's pretty soft and comfy, though.

"Old man" Dolce & Gabbana hats. But I really like them, and no one around here wears them.

I'm proud to say I've never owned a pair of Seven jeans, sleeveless shirts, Uggs or anything Ugg-like, anything Juicy Couture, or most anything else overly trendy.

-Seven jeans
-Polka dots
-Tweed
-Ugg boots
-Minnetonka moccasin lace-up boots
-Overpriced Juicy pants

> The trend NostalChic: 50's, 20's, tweed, cardigan, fur, leather and satin, muslin, velvet... The trench continues to surf on the wave of the summer. Leather, gabardine or satin, it adapts of all the materials, in smart version or more sport.

>The look horse-riding: jacket and riding boots, not to neglect thus.

>Coat in Hitchcock for a look "High society ", a sailor's jacket or a duffel coat, big reinterpreted classical authors, so many key products of this season. Pants are short, version privateer, knickerbockers or supple and fluid in wide lapels. The size goes back up.

>>But not for me: the impression leopard (feline touch)

UGG's - got one pair of Chesnut classics last year (followed the trend) people at school couldn't understand how i spent 110 US on them until they tried them on.

Von Dutch- only have ONE tee shirt and it says vondutch in small letters on the chest. no hats or anything

Polos - however they are classic and i wore them for years, the whole "collar up" like loserunit said. No one up here knew what the point was, was called "Elvis" many times. But i like it!!

Newsboy hats- have many many many of them, however they are coming back for fall!

haven't dared to wear pink yet, i'll wait to see how that plays out for us guys

I started wearing the collars on my polos up, too... but I think it's so cute! And I know this doesn't count as a fashion trend, but I noticed celebrities are all going very dark with their hair color, and I swore I'd never dye mine, but I just dyed it a soft (actually natural looking) black... hmm...

1 uggs. my excuse was 'they are soooo comfortable!'
2 juicy velour sweatsuit. again, i used comfort as an excuse.

thankfully, i am done and over with both trends.

i am, however, considering a pair of minnetonka boots although i should probably just exhibit some self control and common sense.

if i remember around $1000...but i really don't remember...and since i know i will get tired of them after a season...it's not worth it to me...besides they don't go with anything in my wardrobe...i think you have a bunch of stuff that would go with them though...why don't you get them...i know you were thinking about it...they are gorgeous...but so are all the vuitton shoes this season... :P  h

the alligator ones are $3,400... :ninja:

This is me as well. I used to be a white gold/silver kind of girl, but I've started purchasing and wearing gold.

I bought a pink wife beater...

And flip flops. My beagle realized my little lapse in judgement and proceeded to destroy them. Good doggy!

   I've been in wife beaters all summer (LITERALLY). *ducking from all of the shoes being thrown at me*   And let's not mention the flip flops.

Uggs. I'm going to buy some sort of furry boot like that. But not for the trend! I just want warm feet in these stupid Minnesota winters!
