does it bother anyone else that black models are STILL struggling?! i thought the mood had changed in the f/w 2010-2011 & s/s 2011-2012 fashion season but it seems to be changing back. it really IRKS me to see bland models with lackluster personalities & competent walks at best booking great shows while there's still a quota on how many if any black girls should be in a show. to me the ONLY reason to hire someone (black, white, asian, latina, middleeastern, biracial or other) should be:

a) are they pretty
b) do they fit into the clothes
c) can they walk
d) do they have a personality
e) can they portray what i'm going for (elegant, sexiness, innocence etc)

anything else is just irrelevent

i remember seeing lois samuels in 90s mags and didnt know her name. I was also amazed to find out that Cynthia Bailey from the real housewives of Atlanta was once a high fashion model, i always thought that she looks like a model
