Ooh a forum! Interesting. I hadn't even thought of that. I think that would be a very unique project!

Is that an actual American Apparel ad or a page from an I-D editorial. The fonts and the general set up look like something from I-D as opposed to an AA ad. I'm not the biggest fan of AA and I do not like the look of that picture but I'd like to know if thats an actual advertisement before I rush to any judgement.

that blackface picture is... interesting. i'll leave it at that.

it would sit a lot better with me if it were part of an editorial. there's more license there for risky, edgy choices. but to use it as an ad just seems like bad taste.

I think the i-D picture is stupid and they need to be called out on it. But I don't see how some people can blame the model. She was trying to make money and I can guess that this wasn't er idea at all.
