My favourite African model would have to be Alek Wek. I think that she has an amazing body and is very inspirational. I read a little article about her in Vogue US recently and I was very intrigued with her story. I think that she is beautiful B)

I actually just read the Alek Wek article in July Vogue issue. Compelling story...
I am not as familiar with some of the up and coming black models, but this forum has already presented several. I am still a Liya Kebede fan all the way. She is absolutely exquisite and not just as a model, but a mother and a humanitarian. I like that she is giving back to her country.

there was a bbc documentary about alek wek, but I can't find it on youtube.

It followed her around in london and then to her old village in sudan. She's such a cool person B)

Wow,Ebony has got to do better...but its nice to see Alek on a US cover and Iman she really has had a great few months of late. I'd keep those two,since I mean this is fashion Ebony's talking about right?! But it makes no sense how they picked the girls.
