Meow's right. Almost all of their bags can be purchased through a special order. I love the velvet bag, but since I already have two spys, I'm waiting for S/S 06 spy bag collection to see if I want theF/W 05 velvet one too.

I think that the quotes on quantities become inaccurate. When I got my purple/vintage leather spy they told me that it was one of two or three purchased for America. But then for some reason the buyer decided to buy like 10 more or something, so now its one of under 20, which is totally different from 1/2 Maybe they just decided to make more of those red ones or something.

I am hoping they bring out some cool spies at the private Fendi party on Sunday. The boutique is supposed to be going all out for that thing this year

Fendi in Bellagio las vegas has the velvet squirel spy bag. They just got it in. It is absolutely beautiful in person!!! I mean breathtaking! Pictures on saks.com do not do it justice.

Also, has everyone seen the hobo suede style bag with the big fluffy squirel on the front? It retails for around $3100. A different style for Fendi but really an amazing bag. Very detailed!

hahaha that would be so classic, spying with a spy at the Fendi party Maybe I'll consider taking that instead of the Chanel 2.55 I bought for that night. I can't wait, there is supposed to be some famous local painter coming to paint a bag that will be auctioned off that night at the event. It would be interesting if it were a spy, but I highly doubt it.

I think that's true of all the novelty bags. btw, just to show how SAs can't be trusted, I had one from the fendi boutique (it may have been new york) tell me during the summer (when I was trying to replace my defective one) that they weren't making the leather ones anymore, only the novelty. obviously not true.

The bag you posted lilygirl -- The squirrel is cute and I love how they did the tale, but the shape and style of the bag I'm not really liking.

The grey spy -- The beads looks like they'll fall off so quickly

I don't like it either, but then I don't like any of the cutesy bags. on the other hand, I love the original sequin spy, but I've heard from the lucky owners that they have to be extra extra careful not to snag the sequins.

Yup, I have been SUPER careful with my sequinned spy. I took it out once, and had to pay attention to how I set it down and how it brushed up against my body while I walked. It's a gorgeous bag, but very high maintenance. That's why I went ahead and got the petrol. In comparison, the all leather spy can take quite a beating (though I should be more careful with it too).

me too, but I'm not and my bag still looks great (knock wood). I actually got caught in the rain the other day -- oops.

Yep, that is the one. It is not my usual style.....but looks absolutely fabulous on!!! It drapes the body, is sort of squishy and hits just the right length. The leather is super soft and the eyeball has a little Fendi on it. 10x better in person!!! That is why it is so hard to pick your color or style over the phone. When you see them in person you immediately gravitate towards a color or style.

BTW: The SA told me that Fendi will be doing a lilac calf skin for spring 06. Sounds fabulous!!!!
