Fendi Spy Bag

Lumine,

Are there still any petrol left at NAC? I was there today but I didn't bother to check as I was in a rush...
I purchased a teal blue spy at Bloomingdales yesterday. The computer showed that cognac, dr brown, black were sold out...but showed that one blue remained (can't remember the term used for the blue color on their screen) somewhere in NY state.

Does anyone own this color? How is it in person? I am wondering if i should order it?

Are you in the LA-area. I purchased the teal blue at Bloomingdales yesterday...and located the dark brown at Barney's today. I may return the teal to Bdles (Newport Beach) tomorrow. Should I have them hold it for you? Love the blue, but can't buy both!!!!

I am trying to decide the same thing. I am on the waiting list for the blue, but have been looking for the dark brown too. How would the blue look with denim? What made you decide on the brown? How lucky are you to find two!!!

I am on the East Coast. I am not sure what to do. I like the hologram one also. My sales person told me it is more of a copper brown color and not to shiny. Decisions Decisions!!!

Do you think it would go with everything? DO you think it is a color only for this season?

I saw a picture of the copper spy in the Dutch Vogue September issue (Renee on the cover). It did not look too shiny or coppery at all......nothing like the high shine gold photo that was on saks.com or eluxury site last week. But it was definitely the same bag. Maybe, it was the lighting they used for the shoot? I did a doubletake.

The blue looks nice, but I am wondering about the hologram and knowing it is a limited edition I am thinking maybe to order that one.

It is hard! I am a "basics" girl, so now it is between the dark brown and the black. I got verrrrrry lucky to locate both the blue and the dark brown this week. Decided on the dark brown because my "everyday" fall/winter wear is denim, boots, and a prada sweater. Think the dark brown (or black...) will blend best with my existing colors. Have not seen the copper other than the Saks website, but the blue is nice and could be worn with jeans. Unfortunately, I have to choose! I bought the spy hobo in cognac this weekend for a very everyday, basic bag, but can also choose one (but should just choose one!) fun one. Will return the blue to Bloomingdales tomorrow...

I have the same winter dress which is denim and sweaters and blazers and dress boots so maybe blue would be to much

I was wearing demin and a black sweater when I purchased the bag, and it looked good...but, thought brown or black would be fun, but classier look...

Go for the brown. I haven't seen either IRL, but from what others on the thread have said, the brown is much more textured than some of the other colors. Good luck with your choice. I just ordered the blue, and now I have to choose between the blue and the cognac.

Socal, I wonder if the brown at barneys is the one of the two I chose from on Friday. Was it Barneys in BH? They were both lovely. It was a tough decision.

I was also told by Bloomingdales that many of their stores just got a shipment on Thursday or Friday, which would explain why they're popping up.

Last... that dark blue on the saks website looks darker than all the teal/petrols I've seen. Anyone know if it's the same color or not? There is an authentic teal on ebay right now if anyone's interested. It's the one with the legit price.

Yes, the brown was from Barneys BH, glad to hear a personal report about condition as I will receive via mail. Your earlier comments inspired me to make the call, just in case one was still available! The blue seems to change colors a bit depending on lighting, but it seems to be the same as the one I purchased from Bloomingdales.

Socal, it was very similar to mine, although the texture was a bit finer. Still DEFINITELY texture-y, but smaller bumps if that makes sense. I would've been thrilled with either one, so if you want that turtle-y look, you'll be happy.

I wonder why they're 1980 at bloomies and barneys and 2080 in the boutiques!

Bagqueen, thanks for the tip! Karma for you :)

I just ordered my blue spy. I've been lusting over this bag ever since I found out about it, but have been recultant becuase of the price. If I would have had to call all over the place and do the whole waitlist thing, I dont think I would have gotten the bag for a while. But it was just so easy I couldn't resist, I dont know if another chance like that would come around.

I'm nervous about all these defects in the bags, especially the ones that happen after some wear like the flap coming off. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that mine will be perfect. The total came to $2255 after tax and shipping, thats nearly my whole monthly budget  I dont have the money yet, but I'm selling a bunch of things on eBay that should get me what I need, I'm hoping my brother will loan it until I get all the payments.

Does anyone know how quickly saks charges the card? It is usually next day or longer?
