The bag that I saw was a gorgeous shade of green in the lambskin version. I would say it is somewhat forest green but not that dark. The color is very rich and luxurious looking. I think it is definitely matchable esp. with neutral colored outfits. I also think it is much more striking than the brown (and mind you, I was thisclose to paying for the brown at the store!!) The picture of Mischa is pretty accurate. I didn't see the pleats versions in person but I would love to!! I think the pleats are going to be more difficult to find and get your hands on...which adds to the appeal of the bag. aaaargh!! The pleats is also more expensive than the lambskin version. If I am not mistaken, the pleats version costs about US$ 3,300? I could be wrong, but this is what I remember the SA telling me.

For sure, this bag is going to last for several seasons...well at least I am hoping it will!! The fact that there were many new versions of the spy bag in the Fendi autumn/winter collection is a good sign!!

I am very excited about receiving my bag (being sent from Europe to Canada so I can enjoy the VAT-free discount, I was confused about how the VAT thingie would work and I was scared the SA made a mistake but seems she was right). But I am still slightly worried about the size of the bag. The python comes in the most popular size (small or medium, depending on which Fendi boutique you talk to!! I don't think they know themselves). But the bag is quite big. I'm used to big bags like the Luella Gisele and the Roxanne but since I use those bags mostly for work, the size wasn't a problem. But I want to use the Spy python for after-work and on weekends and I hope it's not going to look too big and awkward. But, yes, I am definitely excited!!

Do they do size small? I thought medium was the smallest?

I am quite petite (like the olsen twins type) so I am worried that it's gonna look redicolous with such a big bag

I got my Fendi catalouge today and I am wondering... Is there two shades of green on it?? I can't really see is it black? I think I am colourblind

Do you have to special order the pleats? i talked to a SA at Fendi today.. italian he didn't eve know what pleated meant or which bag I was trying to get hold off!

^ Yes, you should get on a waitinglist really. These bags are really popular.

I talked to the manager at Fendi London today, and she said that they haden't orderd any of the pleats to Europe

So I am on a waitinglist for the green.

But maybe I'll call America and she would provide me the number.. Grrrr to much hassle, for a bag!

ahhh i got myself on a waiting list for green! i cant believe so.. I'm thinking of getting 5 balenciagas(despite ive owned 3 from previous) for fall 1 birkin and now another fendi spy. i seriously need to stop this madness, but hey thanks pucci..ahh u said u have a rich bf,.. that's so nice.. i hope someone can buy them for me btw i love london .. was going to visit last month, but i had to stay for some courses so I'll probably visit in the summer. First time poster, but long time reader. I just wanted to add that I received a call from the Fendi boutique in NYC today. I had placed an order for the white w/red trim Spy about a month ago, and they just came in. I believe at that point I was only the 11th person in NYC to order the bag. My SA's there are named Josh and Kristy, and both were amazing to work with, so perhaps they can help you all on the waiting lists?!

I think I have seen pictures, and I do not like it. The logo is a OK on small pieces, and in less obvious colors, but on such a large bag I would say its a little much.

They are made, but I think my SA said that you need to special order them, pay half deposit and the bag will be yours in 4-6 weeks.

She als said there are no waitinglist fr them in Europe so I had to call America or Japan.

I am torn if I should o for a conac pleated one ore the green...

Any suggestions people?

they're such beautiful bags. the python one kind of grosses me out though... snake skin does in general though. but if i was to ever own snakeskin heres to hoping it's on a spy.

i saw that page... jlo has both the gold and brown python (although in the pic she's carrying the brown), sjp and debra messing both have the cognac leather with sequins, mischa barton has the green leather and jessica simpson has the cream with red handles
