yeah, that's what my green looks like. gold is hot but looks fragile -- is it? and it looks like the gold is the large, the green is medium (which is pretty big itself).

I know I said that the Spy was too big for me but then I started thinking that some of my bags are a little on the small side and remembered that so often I have to cram things in and organise them just so to fit inside. Well today I bought a Spy in Osso - the beige colour because I was looking for a lighter coloured bag for Spring - I love it! I was really lucky because the store had an unexpected delivery late on Friday of 2 extra bone bags - they were both on reserve but the sa said that one poor person had left it to late and so I was allowed to buy it there and then! Hurrah - I love the Spy! PucciMama - did you check out the Spys in Selfridges, London? - they have the Green and the Cognac available now.

Hi the Sweetest - in Europe it's still relatively easy to get hold of the Fendi Logo Spy and it's a good price too - 995 euros. The leather/logo mix is really nice too.

I am sooooooo happy that all of you like my gold spy! I still have not taken it out of the original packaging, I have some really weird butterfly issues with the bag.

I went back to Fendi today and was able to clear up the whole rumor about this being 1 out of 13 in the world. For the Gold Fendi Spy bag there were really and truly only 13 made, however there are mediums in Gold. I sort of cringed when I heard that because I like having something that the rest of the universe does not have, but I also like the medium!!! The crazy part is there is only a $300 difference in price between the two. My tummy hurts now.

Shaymus, is that 13 including the mediums, or 13 large and extra mediums ? Sorry to be so confused. That is one rare bag! Even the other stats you mentioned seem low, only 92 cognac? I hope it's not just hype. It's nice owning a bag you don't see on everyone. Although I wonder if they've included the celeb's bags in this count!

The large Gold Spy Python retail is $5,750 (plus my state sales tax 7.5% so the total was $6181.25)!!!

As for the # of bags -- 13 is Only counting the Large Gold Spy bags, not sure how many mediums.

As for the celebs -- This weekend Vegas had a Grand Opening at the Bellagio for the newest Fendi store, so we had a BUNCH of corporate sales people here from Fendi. One of the head Manager's told me that the Gold Python that JLo was seen toting around was for promotion of the bag, and that the bag was given back to Fendi. It is my understanding that the Python and Croc bags that have been seen on the celebs have been for promo only. The number that have been given for stats are including ALL the bags produced.
