Fendi Spy Bag

W's September issue has a great article on IT bags and the Fendi spy is featured. There's an interview with the Fendi owner who said she loved seeing pictures of celebrities use the spy bags everyday (she enjoyed seeing this more than seeing celebrities use Fendi bags on the red carpet.)

There's also a picture of a blue (although it looks blue-green) crocodile Spy which sells for US$33,000. The waiting time for this is a few months.

Just got the Sept issue of W! What a treat!! B)
Thanks so much for posting the articles on the Fendi Spy & Hermes thread, Taitai!:flower: The blue croc Spy is gorgeous! but honestly, I'd rather spend US$33,000 on a croc Birkin!

most of the spys on ebay are fake. unless you are buying from a trusted seller (like leshent) and there is a good reason to pay more than retail (such as, the color you want is not longer available), wait it out and buy it from neiman's or a boutique. it makes no sense to take the risk and I get the feeling they are producing a lot more this season to meet the demand.

that sequin spy is quite possibly the most gorgeous handbag i have ever laid my eyes on. :woot:

Anger~~

IT does NOT matter if the bag looks legit or not. WHat matters is if you buy from a reputable seller (leshent --absolutely trustworthy).

The first auction is for a brown spy bag-- item # 6790291598

Now look at the second auction-- item #6796431058.

The second auction-- the person took the images from the first auction and claimed them as their own and is selling the "bag" for money. And the third green bag is the same seller as the second auction--item #6796462091 and clearly a fake. The last two images are from the seller who stole the image of the first bag. GGGRRRRR!!!

The scammers are taking over Ebay. Completely unrelated I bought a pair of what I thought were genuine Ugg boots but arrived so fake. I really didn't think people would bother faking things that were not comparably that expensive, guess I was wrong. Ebay is fast becoming a really bad idea all round.

I thought that they only made fake bags. I thought that making fake shoes was too expensive of a process since you don't know what size each person wanting one will be. Woah-- thanks for making me aware.

the scammers are a problem, but eBay is still a valuable resource and I hope the crooks don't ruin it for everybody else. it's where I sell my bags when I get tired of them and where I can find things that I can't find anywhere else (like my green gucci bowling bag). I guarantee that if eBay goes away, the scammers will still find a way to scam and the rest of us will be the losers.

any popular item can and is being replicated. like jeans. I'm always worried that people join forums like this one just to learn what items are hot.

aaaaahhhhh!

One more rant.

This bag is going for $1575. And looks to me like it is a fake. It has none of the "turtelish" texture.

AAAH... I should stop doing this since I am going to go crazy!!!!

I was at the Fendi boutique sometime back and a lady was picking up her pre-ordered dark brown spy and it had VERY LITTLE texture! And the boutique said some of the new versions have less texture than the earlier batches. The customer was really unhappy because she said "I want the textured look otherwise people are going to think this bag is fake!" It was very odd.

My black Spy is here  I already took it out to the hair salon and I got a few compliments, especially from the make up artist, he was droooooling over it :woot:
