tonight I was horrified to see a colleague with a fake green spy -- and everyone was falling over her with compliments. except me because it was so obviously fake. it made me a little ill (and glad I wasn't carrying my $2000 real spy).

Oh I know what you mean.
The exact same thing happened to me, except that it was with a different bag.
I mean, it's hard to compliment someone on a badly-faked bag without sounding pretentious, especially when you know how the actual bag is suppose to look like, imho.

I got a question to all spy owners in meduim size(regular size)...I recently saw the large size version of the spy bag and it was scary big on me, made me look tiny and skinny..my mom even joked that i could fit in the bag...The thing is, the SA in the shop said there is no big difference between the large and the meduim...the difference is insignificant...meaning that they are almost the same size, but the meduim is slightly smaller...If some one can kind take a picture of their spy bag holding it, side ways i would be very very grateful I love the spy bag but the size is just bugging me...

Dulci, I was told by my personal shopper that the large one is huge! It's like a travel bag. I know a girl who bought the large spy as carry-on luggage.

It's alright I believe it's BIG BIG, I haven't seen it but if it can be used as carry-on luggage I believe you wouldnt enjoy it as a city bag

No no i mean the meduim size , i am asking about the meduim size whether its big big or as big as the meduim paddington bag...i am concerend about the regular spy bag size( the one youve got in black)...No way will i buy the large one it scared me off I am asking ur thoughts and experince about the regular spy bag size wise

The medium (regular) Spy is a bit bigger than the medium Chloe Paddington but it's not too big, if you know what I mean.
In my opinin, it is a great city bag and roomy too. I'm only 5'3' and it doesn't look weird at all Carry it with pride!

Thanks I was getting a bit worried here...I am not a great fan of big bags because i dont put much stuff in them...the paddington was my first actual big bag and i am in love with it...I saw the city Balenciaga and it just seemed too big on me too I hope the spy bag is not as big as the b bag But the style is soo unique congrats on ur bag again

How much would this bug you?

so those of you who have followed my spy saga, neiman's sent me another one and of course, it's not perfect. there is a good size scratch on the front and a small "cut" on the opening, near one of the handles:

otherwise, the bag is fine and it's pretty "turtley" and vintage looking (which I now look for to distinguish it from the fakes. and I'm tired of this. but on the other hand, why should I settle for anything less than perfect? another weird thing: the dustbag is white -- all the other ones I've had were black. anyone else have this?

LilyGirl, mine was black but if it came from Neiman it must be authentic.

If you paid full price I think you shouldn't settle for anything less than perfect!
