oh yes sorry just a sidenote i hope i am not creating a duplicate topic i already looked around and couldnt find any other discusions about fine jewlery...

as far as 'fine jewelry goes...

i like 'estate' pieces...

essentially vintage and unique...
i also have inherited some fine jewelry from my family and i like to wear that because it has special meaning to me...
most of it is from italy...
so 18k gold that has that very gold colour...

jewellery from a fashion brands can be tricky- especially since both and dior and chanel have cheapened their image with prominent costume jewellery lines. and lets not forget coco famously faked it- so a chanel fine line is a bit rich (!)

I couldn't agree more, Softgrey. My favorite and most treasured pieces are the one's passed down through the generations of my family. I also love estate sales and the "estate" sections of department stores

I love Bvlgari and lately start falling for Chanel fine jewelry too. I love the Coco ring.

I like the Dior fine jewelry, although clearly the rings are not meant to be worn by women doing real work ... or even posting to tFS ^_^ A bit expensive too, no?

I like to buy Victorian jewelry ... just as unique and very beautiful for far less $$$. It was a gift that got me interested in it ... a friend of the family from Scotland gave me the rose gold & garnet birthstone ring she'd worn as a child. I got used to looking at rose gold on my hand, and it's still my favorite :flower:
