Flight Attendant Uniforms : Then and Now

Julian Macdonald did some airline's uniforms as well. Think it was BA?

New Zealand designer Zambesi have just designed the uniforms for the national carrier Air New Zealand. I think some of them are quite good, but there is this one hat for the women that looks like something from Thunderbirds.

The Emirates Airlines uniforms are truly gorgeous. I remember seeing a group of hostesses (sp?) at the Frankfurt Intl Airport and everybody, myself included, was staring at them. The girls were all very tall, dressed in beige suits (jacket & trousers) with dark red hats and a sort of a white vail hanging from one side and covering the opposite shoulder. It's difficult to explain, I wanted to post pictures but i couldn't find any nice ones

this is more designers and collections...not ad campaigns...

Right so I know it's not an airline uniform, but I just read on timeout that Hussein Chalayan designed the uniforms for the waiting staff at Hakkasan in London.

Asiana are my absolute favourite. I travelled Korean Air (the outfits are actually very smart) and at the airport in Seoul there were these beautiful women walking around in Asiana uniforms and I just couldn't take my eyes off them, gorgeous. I love the bubble thing posted a few pages back, genius.

thanks perfectperfect...
i was just reading about halston designing for braniff air and wondering what it looked like...
