Shes number 1 at the UK Charts with Spectrum!
Im so happy for her and Im really happy that her voice is getting better.
Its such a shame she had to cancel her concert in Portugal, I was so exited. But anyway I know she will comeback!

Lovely look, I'm usually not a fan of matchy accessories but here it works. Well it is a pretty good color afterall.

I hope she gets better soon, I saw her at a French festival a couple of weeks ago and she really is extraordinary. Her voice is a real gift and she has so much energy it's quite surprising.

They're coming to Los Angeles! Can't wait to see them.

The Vogue 120:

Appearing in ethereal swaths of Gucci silk and Valentino lace because “they feel like they’re doing a performance of their own,” she enthralls devotees with her theatrical wardrobe as well as her soulful voice. The Pre-Raphaelite beauty credits “growing up around art history” (her mother is a Renaissance-studies professor) for her sense of artful drama, while Welch’s blend of British eccentricity—a mash-up of every era from the eighteenth century through the 1970s—flaunts a romantic unconventionality. “I like to imagine I’ll wear the things I’m buying now when I’m old and mad!” she says.

^Amazing shot, she looks so beautiful and like the ultimate fairytale heroine:flower:.

Is it just me or has her name changed over the past few years? When she first started out as Florence and the Machine, I thought it referred to her and her alone, like Marina and the Diamonds (though that is a pun on Marina's surname....) The band seemed irrelevant and I kind of liked that oddity. Now it seems like she is Florence, and the Machine is the band.

^Yeah. Completely the same with me.
I dont really get ti now, I liked much more when SHE was Florence + the Machine because in my mind shes also the machine.

I love Spectrum song and video! I can tell the jewellery is by Bulgari but haven't found anything IDing the costume designer.

Does anyone here know who are the dresses by. TIA :flower:

^^^since the very beginig The Machine was Isabella Summers who writes the music for the songs and plays the keyboard in the band. They co-founded the band with Florence.

CALVIN HARRIS DEBUTS 'SWEET NOTHING' SONG WITH FLORENCE WELCH
New song set to be taken from 18 Months album
Calvin Harris has premiered his latest single, a collaboration with Florence Welch titled 'Sweet Nothing'.

The song received its world premiere on BBC Radio 1 this morning (Aug 28) and will feature on Harris' forthcoming album '18 Months'.

Speaking in a recent interview, Calvin Harris admitted that he only agreed to remix Florence's recent single 'Spectrum' (a remix that went on to spend three weeks at number one) so she would agree to record vocals on 'Sweet Nothing'.
