French Pedicures

I think a french pedicure looks nice and makes peoples toes more attractive but only when kept short and neat.

That pic is not even that bad..ages ago i saw shopping in London's Selfridges and one of the ladies there had LONG toenails..seriously, the nails looked like eagle claws or something.

I think the keys to having a nice looking French pedicure are that the nails have to be short and the white tips need to be relatively small...Not like the pic posted here...That looks really wierd!:ninja:

Agreed :)

I went to get my eyebrows done today and there were these 2 older ladies w/ really long PURPLE toenails and nails, their toes kind of curls and came out of their shoes. I was deeply disturbed by this. I think the French looks a little bizarre, my toenails are way too tiny for that, I can barely paint them b/c I have freakishly tiny nails.

I'm with you on that one - first time I saw it was 3 years ao, she had TIPS on her toes.
Gahd, eveyone I know in florida has had it and I can't stand it.

i didn't even know people did french manicures for toes until i actually saw people with it done like 5 years ago. it's gross, toe nails should not be that long. i find the whole long fingernails/ acrylics look super tacky too.

I love the french pedicure! I've been getting them for years, they make your feet look soo neat!

French manicures and pedicures are tacky no matter what colors you do them in.

Where I used to work, all the fashion editors used to gag when they saw french manicures and pedicures Then they use to snicker behind the persons back (a bit childish I know). It kind of rubbed off on me and now I cringe whenever I see girls with french manicures.

Its a bit too p*rnstar-ish for my liking.

Exactly! I'm not a fan of the French manicure, either (I call it "stripper-esque). And the French pedicure...well, I think everyone knows how I feel about that :yuk:

I hate French mani/pedicures at a time they were a sign of wealth, status and good taste but now they're very, very common. I prefer a clean simple clear polish mani/pedicure W/O Acrylic nails, and if you must get color get something slightly neutral but not white or tan. My mom get's this pinkish/brick color with some metallics in it, it is heaven.

Now that i think about it I hate the french mani/pedi cause of the flat or round tip of the nail, I love those dagger/pointy nails, I dont know why. My mom and aunt have dagger/pointy nails and they're sooo chic.

I hate long toe nails.
I dont even really like long finger nails -- I've always been more of an active length gal.

french manicures seem a bit played out...maybe really thin white part is okay.

Just yuck. French pedicure and manicure is both tacky. I've seen too many tacky girls with their freshly manicured nails holding their cellphones and applying lipgloss at the same time.....

I prefer my nails very short and occasionnal clear nail polish, or a muted natural pink.

I hate nail polish. I rarely wear it. It's an annoyance always being chipped.

Me too. I don't have and never will have long toe nails and / or a french pedicure.

I get French manicures, but I keep it as neutral as possible and also my nails are never long, I just think it makes my fingers look so much cleaner.

Hate acrylics though, I wore them once in high school for prom and they completely ruined my nails.

Highly deslike them for pedicures, I tend to paint my dark shades of reds and wines.

definitely NOT. haha
french manicures are ok ! depends on the person though

i keep my nails short & have opaque creamy nude on !

the thought of having toe nails past the point of your toe makes me feel sick.

Unless these people spend their lives scaling trees and cliffs barefoot I really don't understand why they would ever think it as a desirable look, as far as french pedis I think they can look a bit 'footballers wife' mani's can make the nail look clean and smart if they're not overtly un-natural looking. I personally wear bold colours on my nails, or just go for clear or a nice nude shimmer.

i hate french mani/pedicures mainly because i associate them with a certain type of person:rolleyes:

i personaly prefer bright colours on my nails or no colour at all but nicely buffed!^_^
