Loved the first half of the finale....I hope it´s not the last season. It´s crazy to see Leonard Nimoy...he must be like a hundred years old. I remember him when I was a kid, and he was a GROWN UP man already...

According to the network (and almost everyone else involved in the show) the next season will be the last. It was renewed for a shortened 5th season of 13 episodes, in which they'll tie up the stories and give fans a full, and hopefully satisfying finale.

^^good to know, they knitted up such a intricate plot, they´re going to need at least 13 episodes to try to "close" things right. I only hope they don´t pull a "LOST" final episodes because I´m going to be soooo mad.

Call me crazy but I don't think we've seen the last of her. I mean it IS Fringe!

Oh gee! Last episode was sad. Olivia and Peter are really devastated, Peter is really losing it....so sad

Anybody watched the finale? Quite good for me, it didn´t dissapoint. I cried like a baby with all the Walter/Peter goodbyes, and of course the quest of Etta´s dads to change the course of history if needed to find her. I will miss Fringe. All the new sci-fi series are rather dull.

I agree. It ended the way I was predicting all season (history is somehow changed so that the observers never exist, Walter sacrifices himself, everything ends with Peter, Oliva, and Etta in the park that day) but I was was happy with that. I did wonder though, what Peter and Oliva remember at the end. What do they think about the fact that Walter just disappeared suddenly? And does Peter start to remember things when he sees the white tulip?

In terms of other sci-fi series, I kind of like Haven. It's not as good as Fringe, but it's enjoyable. It starts off feeling a bit like a Fringe rip off but toward the end of the first season it starts to develop its own identity and continues to do so for the next two seasons (it just finished S3). You might check it out if you're going through Fringe withdrawl!

^^^What a coincidence! I follow Haven too! Yay, I´m not the only nerdette! I´m a bit back on season 3 but I have the episodes, so I gotta catch up. I was saving them while I still had Fringe, but now I´m going to go back to haven. I Agree that the first season was a bit all over the place, but then it got a lot better.
