Future in Fashion

It's almost getting to that time where I have to sit down and figure out what I want to do with my life. (I'm still in HS) And my grades aren't super to the point where I'll be a brain surgeon. I feel like I am just not good at ANYTHING. And that scares me.. a lot. But I do love clothes and makeup. But 1. I can't design clothes. and 2. I'm not good with putting make-up on other people... So I still want to be involved in that same area, but make good money at the same time. I'm just not sure what to do.
Anyone have any good ideas? I'd love to be in the big city atmosphere also. And what college courses/schools would you recommend?

Well first of all you're probaly feeling you're not good at anything because of the pressure you're putting on yourself to decide what to do with your life!I'm sure you're good at lots of things. You could be a fashion stylist-do your own version of trinny and sussana what not to wear, just less evil!lol. It depends what you want to do really before you start looking at a course, do you want to do fashion design or make-up?

once you figure out wht you want to do, make sure you go to college if you can afford it...its just being practical....if you have no idea what you want to do in the fashion world, its important that if you have a setback of some kind, that at the least you have a college degree to back you up so that you kind temporarily get another job for money

You could always go into fashion marketing. It will allow you to work in fashion with a business background.

All i can say is that never let anyone talk you out of doing what you believe you can do... the future is in your hands... you can be apsolutely anything you just have to believe in

You shouldnt say that you can't design clothes. It's a thing you learn. Just try to understand the trends and how they work, and try to draw as much as possible to learn the proportions of the body and the volumes of the clothes.. But you learn while you are working. The best advise is to get to know the right persons..That could help a lot..
