i'm always buying 'next season's trends' during sales, so i wonder if i share this with any of you..

best catch for fw05-06 sales, must be belts..
they are only too hot for next summer so this is where i'm investing at the moment and since they are a bit 'seasonless' they are a 'catch'

Ooh la la!! Like the topic Ms. Lena :woot:

I'm looking at all things navy myself...

After having spent a mini-fortune in Hong Kong, the only sensible thing to do is of course to spend another mini-fortune in London in the sales! I aim to buy dresses, lots of white, maybe a good fitting pantsuit that's suitable for work and one that I will wear outside of work as well.

I try to avoid sales... because I end up buying what I don't really need..

But agree with Lena on belts, will definitely be a good investment!

the freshly opened knee high thread just gave me an idea kimkhuu
knee shocks are timesless (adding sale-shocks to her list)

navy? ditto.. curious and vintagepearl..
my problem is that there is not too much navy around ladies, much more during sales, i could certainly invest in some navy myself, if i could only get my hands on some..
a navy blouse could be just ideal

^^ Haha, Lena. I have also been buying more belts lately.

I'm also stocking up on funky jewelry.

also cashing in on thin sole wedges and pencil skirts, they both seem destined for a lasting effect

I never really do this, but if I do this I don't go out for trends, but for shoes or a coat.... it makes so much difference when a shoe is on sale. And a mens shoe is a mens shoe, nontheless the season it's for, I think. Perhaps I should do this more often, come to think of it :P

I can't afford it at the moment. No holiday money left over for sales for me. I also find it exhausting with all those other shoppers and things. Hopefully I'll get a new coat when I go home in Feb. Lena I've also found navy so hard to find this season even though I've been craving it. I think what I'm going to do though because I can never find the things I want is just buy tons of fabric here before I go home and book an appt. with my seamstress back home and just commission items to be made! Easiest, best fitting and cheapest option for me!

Ballet flats and thin cardigans for throwing on over summer clothes in the great changeable British weather.

I miss England so much. I want a pair of black patent ballet flats so bad.

And a mod dress just to amuse myself with. I wish I was good at retro/vintage shopping haha.

im looking out for wide belts myself they r great n never out of fashion...and jeans too:smile:

i also adooooore those short jackets/tops on sales..u can wear in winter and summer..good investment...and i adore ballet shoes sooo comfy with warmers in winter

large belts
sailor inspired clothing
navy blue
royal purple
white
dresses
coats

nice list Kseniya
tempted to look for a new 'minimalistic mood' coat myself..

thanks!
I also left out boots.
I love boots but they can be pretty pricy when they first come out.
Can't wait till all the sales start.

I'd say dresses in light colors (or actually any kind of dresses)

I's buy some cardigans because they're good when it's a bit too warm for a jacket

also the belt ofcourse

Ballet flats are always a good buy

Also one should invest in a pair of regular jeans without any extraordinary details, a lot of jeans are on sale and if you find ones that fit you it's not like they're going to be out of fashion
