Game of Thrones

I haven´t read the books so this question is more of a rhetoric and fun one... so who do you think will die in the next episode? none of the main characters die this season, did they?

^maybe not of the really main characters died, but Joffrey, Oberyn and Ygritte were still some "important" supporting characters, specially Joffrey and Oberyn(his role was important through the whole season imo)

judging by the preview seen last sunday, there is so much to happen and i think making it fit into 50 minutes is would to be quite challenging, i really want to see all of everything, so it better not be disapointing

oh, I totally forgot about Joffrey! maybe cause his death wasnt so "bloody " LOL

The episode is going to be 66 minutes long, still it's a lot to cram in, specially LSH, Tyrions path and tying up everyone else's story lines and setting them up for next season.

The finale is titled "The Children" - so if you've read the books - this could mean Tyrion/Cersei/Jaime, or the other possibilities...which I'm REALLY excited about.

^ OOOH I'm very excited for the season finale!

I liked that the last episode was all Castle Black, its was very well done. I like that GOT has film quality war scenes. I loved the scene with the giant in the tunnel, that had my nerves going wild.

I do think some important characters have died. They didn't have quite the impact as the death's in the previous seasons but they still meant something. The season finale will be a good one for this!

^well we haven't lost any Starks this season, probably that's why they haven't cause the same impact. they might be important characters, but if you aren't a Stark(including Jon), or Daenerys or Tyrion, you aren't getting mourned

Best show ever!
Always surprises, and sometimes there are kinda ridiculous things going on, but then again, it's Game of Thrones, anything can happen.

They had the perfect chance to have an epic cliffhanger but passed on it... everything pointed towards it.... yet they bailed. WTF?

I did love the episode, it was awesome but they could have ended with Tyrion and his scenes, the last scene was pretty lackluster and could have been added earlier in the show.

Aw, I quite like the last scene. It was a very poetic ending. In fact, the whole episode was beautifully shot - that was some movie-level cinematography right there.

I get so excited when different characters/story lines collide, like Brienne/Arya and Stanos/John. I really wish Arya had gone with Brienne! They would have been a very strong duo.

I really hope Peter Dinklage gets an Emmy nod this season, he has floored me in every scene. This season's MVP. If Emilia Clarke gets one over any of the GoT ladies (particularly Lena Headey or Sophie Turner) I might scream.

Ugh, another long ten months wait

Have you read the books?

I'm asking since I'm only mad at that ending (like many others who knew what would happen) since it would have been the best scene in the whole season and only have taken a minute of the show.

I did love the Brienne and the Hound meeting, that was a nice change and the battle was wicked!

I do agree that the last two episodes were fantastically filmed, the wall made so much more sense and it looked amazing as well as Aryas final scene but that could have been included earlier in the episode but as a trip its a nice send off for the season.

I totally agree about the Emmy's, Tyrion was actually great this season, I would not mind another nomination for Peter, well deserved but part of me also wants to see Jack and Charles nominated based on their characters. Jack will be a long shot and Charles didn't have as great scenes as he did in previous seasons.

Sophie Turner... my god she surprised me like no other, she really grew with her character overall, she nailed almost all her scenes (except her last one, her voice could have been more commanding and sure when she said "Shall we go?") but overall she portrayed so much emotion with her subtle but effective facial expressions, I herd she did her confession scene in just one take. Lena was awesome as well but I feel she will go all out next season, she has portrayed Cersei flawlessly, a proper evil queen with so many dimensions, arguably my favorite character in the show.

And only one more book to go. I wonder what are they going to do when they catch up with George Martin, he has one year to finish the next book , and then? because i don't think he will be able to finish the next one in only ten months , so... :innocent:

^actually two more books to go, remember that the third book A Storm of Swords was split in seasons 3 and 4. i don't know if they'll keep doing that with A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, if they do then we have at least 4 more seasons to catch up with

I've just started reading! So I've only just finished the first one. I saw all over the web the Lady Stoneheart absence, but as a non-book viewer who didn't know any better I guess that makes sense for me to like it more ^_^

In a way books 4 and 5 are one big story, they are happening simultaneously but just divided by characters, Arya is the only one who appears in both books. Season 4 leaked a bit into AFFC and some of ADWD with some characters.

The producers want 7 seasons total, so as we began to see this season, the TV show could start spoiling what happens in the unpublished books.

I felt like all the deaths were very anticlimactic... no time, I guess -_-

I agree with CommanderTMugler about that final scene, they could have had an amazing cliffhanger, while I liked Arya's final scene I was waiting for that scene! Besides that, this had to be the best episode they had. All of it was flawless. I felt for Dany having to chain up her dragons

Bran's story is finally picking up and getting interesting.

I also felt there was an important scene missing with Jon and Stannis... I guess that will open next season. Arya would have loved Brianne if she had only gone with her but she is going on to an even bigger adventure. I'm very interested to see what Sansa is going to do since I have only read to book 3 I don't know anything more  it kills me not knowing.

I've always though the show has a movie quality cinematography to it. It's really cool to see a show with that level of skill put into it. And the settings! Its all movie scale.

I wouldn't be surprised if they split book 4 and 5 to 4 seasons. I read that GRRM was going to write for 8 books now.

Have you guys heard of the contest George RR Martin had? A lucky fan that donates enough money gets to be written in the book and killed off  http://www.theguardian.com/books/2014/jun/12/george-rr-martin-auction-game-of-thrones

Here's something about Lady Stoneheart explaining why she wasn't in the show: I whited it out for those who don't want spoilers or have not read the books.
After being asked if the show even shot a Lady Stoneheart scene — since so many book-reading fans assumed she would appear at the episode’s end – Graves replied, “It’s a great question, because it’s all I asked about last year when I was doing [the episode with Brotherhood Without Banners leader] Beric Dondarrion — who ultimately is the person who finds Catelyn and turns her into Lady Stoneheart. But no, they didn’t do it. It was never on the docket to do this season — ever.”
Graves continued: “They [showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss] have such a challenge adapting the books into a really focused television experience. It’s very hard, it’s very complicated, it’s much harder then they’ve been given credit for, I think — and they do a brilliant job. But to bring back Michelle Fairley, one of the greatest actresses around, to be a zombie for a little while — and just kill people? It is really sort of, what are we doing with that? How does it play into the whole story in a way that we’re really going to like? It just didn’t end up being a part of what was going to happen this season. And finally one [more] reason: In case you didn’t notice, a lot happens this season … To add that in is something they opted out of. But what’s funny is that it was never going to be in the season, yet it took off on the Internet like it was going to happen.”

We then asked Graves if there’s any chance of the Lady appearing next season. “As somebody who’s worked deep inside the show, begged to have an answer and wants more than anybody, I have no idea,” he said. “They won’t tell me. They’re very good at being secretive.”
Graves also suggested that The Hound will not be coming back after Arya left him to die on that hillside. “As far as The Hound, as I told the story … he’s gone. How is he going to survive that? The real point of it was that she walks away, it wasn’t that it’s left open ended.”

Don't be surprised if Kanye donates a million. :king:

That's so disappointing to hear their decision on the spoiler heelscathfire posted in white. I wanted to see it.

I think it was a mistake on George's part to do what he did with Catelyn, it's just a nonsense. It's enough with the white walkers, the 3 eyed crow and the dragons. And i would have removed the Bran storyline too, it's boring and doesn't fit in the general context of the storyline.
