Game of Thrones

I think it was a mistake on George's part to do what he did with Catelyn, it's just a nonsense. It's enough with the white walkers, the 3 eyed crow and the dragons. And i would have removed the Bran storyline too, it's boring and doesn't fit in the general context of the storyline.

OMG. this!!! i wholeheartedly agree! except maybe the dragons :-D i kind of like them.

but the 3 eyed crow and all the other stuff. . .

just wanted to post some news from winteriscoming.net - tom wlaschia, the actor for the incredibly charismatic jaqen h'ghar is going to be on the main cast for 2015, according to his agency. he and maisie had fantastic chemistry on season 2, im sooo happy that we're finally seeing him again!

Those are indeed awesome news! :buzz: i really love them together, they had great chemistry! so glad he's going to be back!

But in the books does he come back too?

^ no he doesn't. but he's a fan favorite, I guess that's why they're letting him come back? that is such a bizarre decision since Arya already will have a "guide" in Braavos come season 5.

AgrenateD, they didnt post a casting call for that guide, so maybe thats why?

just whited out my reply in case it was spoiler-ish for those who havent read the books, so please highlight if you want to see :)

^ if you're talking about The Waif, she's included in the characters rumored to be 99% showing up in season 5, and i can't really imagine Arya's scenes without her unless that's why they're sending Jaqen back into the action

They all deserve it. When Emilia Clarke was nominated I was like ehhh, but Lena and Dianna are deserving of both nomination and win. Peter's dwarf speech during Tyrion's trial was definitely an Emmy moment, I hope he wins again.

Yay for Lena, I would have preferred Sophie (Sansa) but Lena deserves it, she plays the character so well and she gives life to said character, she's the proper evil queen and arguably the best character in the whole series, without her Game of Thrones is nothing.

Finally managed to start watching the show.

I generally like the show, it somehow pulls you in. But I gotta say I don't think I'll ever get used to so many people dying. They are killing characters like crazy

But my two favorite characters are still alive (knocks on wood), Bran & Arya are the best. Can't wait to see more of them in the next season (hopefully I didn't jinx anything).

Also, can't believe Tyrion killed Shae, never would I think that would happen:shock:

I'm sorry but Bran won't be in the show next season, his story is all caught up, they're going to cut him and he'll be back in season 6.

Arya's story will be crazy though.

Yea I'm almost all finished with the published books and there is one chapter about Bran after where the show left off but nothing else so far.

I'm excited to see Arya next season as well.

It's def Arya's season, it's similar pacing with the book, albeit with the show cutting out some stories.

Definitely hoping for a stronger season than last, which were rather forgettable, or just overhyped to me, as in The Viper. Season 1 remains by far the best for me.

Joffrey's death was a huge disappointment for me, not just in how short the lead-up was to it, but the execution. He was a great character that added such genuine menace and horror to all those around him, and they just had him go out like that quickly.

Another event-- or scene that bothered me was Dany chaining up her dragons. She must have had the strength of Superman to move those shackles to chain down her children... Really awkward-looking scene.

I did adore Ygrette's last scenes with Jon. She was annoying to me in the beginning, but their last encounter was bittersweet, and him setting her funeral pyre alight-- in the True North, and the way she looked, then him breaking down afterwords, was beautifully realized and was a great way to end their story and her arc. As a character, I definitely liked Ygrette much more than the much overhyped the Viper or Queen of Thorns.

Too bad The Hound's story is more or less done, he was wonderful. Glad there will be more of Arya for the new season.
