Game of Thrones

I am also excited for the Sansa part -_-
Still sceptical about the Dorne part, they have apparently made some changes with the storyline and characters

I like her.

Give me Dany's goddess-on-a-mountaintop declarations any day to that tiresome, mopping Tyrion's woe-is-me 30-minute monologues.

At least with Dany, she's planning to get things done-- may take awhile, but she's working on it! With Tyrion, it's so boring and nothing more than Grammy-baiting.

And with Dany, the OTT self-prophecies work since this is a fantasy world with dragons, giants, the walking dead and an ancient people made of ice. Whenever Tyrion opens his mouth, I feel like we're in 1991 with Wynona Ryder in Reality Bites.

Thanks for the new trailer Commander!

Most welcome, I love discussing this show!

Personally IMO... I'll put it in Spoilers given some of the facts we already have.

I personally think Danny will die, she is being brought up waaaay too much to be ruler, she is ambitious but she has no real council, this season we will see her come up with the problems of not knowing how to rule an plays it by ear. Since the story is called "A Song of Fire and Ice", I think she will die while trying to defend the land she wants to bring peace to, it's a nice bittersweet ending as GRRM as said it would be.

Personally, Sansa Stark will end up as Queen, she has sooooo many connections though birth and marriage. The question is who will be her king...

There is a reason Martin married her to a Lannister, she is the last surviving Stark since allegedly her brothers, her sister and parents are dead. She has some sort of claim to her mom's and aunt's land's, Her uncles in Riverrun are taken over (at least in the show) and she's close to Robin in the Erye. With some sort of connection to Winterfell, Lanisport, the Erye, Riverrun and maybe the Wall as her half brother rules there and can ally her, she really has a chance.... who better to rule and play the Game of Thrones than someone who has had first hand lessons from Cersei, Ned, Tyrion, Tywin, Margery/Olenna, Varys, Lysa, and Robert Baratheon.. plus with Littlefinger on her side, the man who set up the whole Game of Thrones, all she has to do is play her cards right and judging by her last episode last season, she's playing him as well. Hopefully she meets Tyrion again, those two together would really be unstoppable. She is only a year or so younger than Danny, both exiled princesses with a horrible family past... they both fit the "Ruler loved by millions, with a powerful army and the right family name" description, only Sansa's family was actially loved not feared like the Targaryens, she can have the army with the Vale, Winterfell and the Wall behind her and being a Stark only adds to her position.

BTW, GRRM released a new Sansa chapter right before the show aired like he did for Arya last season.

^^^ Very interesting theory Commander... I wouldn't mind if that's the way the story went. They're not my favs, but I'm more interested in strong storytelling, and if theirs ends up supporting a solid, and strong story, I'm good.

I only watch the show and don't think I'll ever read the books. And whatever the shows presents, I take it in and base my opinions on what's shown, so I'm hoping Dany's story goes on and on for now-- until whatever ends they decide for her when the story of Westero does finally ends. Hers, Jon's and Arya's story fascinates me the most since they're the ones most closest to the archetype of the hero's journey of classical mythology and fables. Theirs feels the most timeless and magical, and more importantly, draws me to the world that they live in. Petyr and Varys are also interesting individuals and I like them a lot, but they're only supporting characters and I can't see either of them even having even the most remote chance of ruling this world. (Whenever there's a scene with just these two, I actually fear for Varys... despite his intelligence, I always fear Petyr is the more lethal, and merciless predator. There's good in Varys-- something I'm certain has long since died in Petyr.)

I know absolutely nothing of the new season and I'm so very looking forward to it and letting this world just wash all over me...

I honestly think no one will sit on the Iron Throne. I think Kingslanding is going to be ravaged by the war with the Others. In the end the 7 kingdoms will split up. Rickon will Rule the North, Roby-Vale, Sansa/Tyrion- Casterly Rock, Shireen- Stormlands, Eumure- Riverlands, Trystane-Dorne, Wyllas- Highgarden.
Dany goes to try to re-establish Valyria/stays in Essos after the defeat of the Others.
Jon remains as lord commander of the NW, but learns who is mother and father are.

^ george said that someone WILL be on the iron throne at the end, but i like the rest of your theory

That depends on if KL is still standing. If Dany's dream in the House of the Undying come true, she will be there during Winter and KL is ravaged. IF Jon/Danny (the irony ) don't take the throne it will probably be Sansa/Tyrion.

Need my GoT fix.... It's been 10 months now.... Playing the telltale games on PS3 has been like placing a band-aid on a gunshot wound....

PLEASE guys, if you saw the leaked episodes, DON´T SPOIL!
I´ve heard the quality is really crappy so I´m gonna watch them in HD as they´re released.

I saw sunday´s episode, gotta love Jon Snow :)
I was expecting an easy, boring episode but I think it was quite entertaining. I enjoyed it a lot... the intro song gave me goosebumps

^^^ Yes-- Jon's story is the strongest for me in these four episodes. Very unhinged and truest to the urgency of the main story of the coming war of all wars. And Dany's as well. The others don't seem very grand in comparison since they're more personal and comes off to me as a buddies road trip. Still very solid.

BTW, The production value is noticeably more expensive, richer and just more dazzling this season. And Natalie Dormer possesses such a fiery, striking beauty, but on the show, she just looks so... sweetly pretty... I guess that's the point, but it's kind of like dressing Edita as Scarlet O'Hara.

No they are not. They are in great quality.

^they're not in 720p or 1080p are they? I'm waiting for those to watch them on tv instead of the computer :)

^It's more like 420p, which isn't bad. Like alonsoJonathan says, "they're in great quality" and, I agree. You'll be so caught up in the show, you'll forget all about it.

^they´re too low quality for watching in a hd tv imo, I rather wait.
Anyway, I was asking for you guys to follow the non writing rules of spoilers if you want to talk about the leaked eps: a spoiler warning or coloring the text white :pink::flower:

I watched the first season of Game of Thrones but lost interest after they killed off Ned Stark who was the only moral character left. I also liked Daenerys in the first season but heard she becomes unbearable in the later seasons.
