Anybody really like the new Garrard by Jade Jagger?

Personally I think that the new designs are very fun, and eccentric in that British manner. It's a pity that they don't have a store in California or online shopping.

Yes!
The adverts are wicked and cheeky and the jewelry is modern and gorgeous.
As soon as I pay off my student loans I'll be all over one of those broaches :woot:
I would get a ring but David Yurman gets my money on that one :flower:

what's jade jagger doing?....what's the connection?...i'm not familiar with this company...does anyone have anymore info?...

She is a jewelry designer. I believe she used to be independent but now she's designing for Garrard.

Garrard is a jewelry company. Kind of like a Tiffany & Co. or a Birks.

I also think I've been to a Garrards in NYC I think it was off West Broadway.

Garrard is a British company that makes jewelry to the Royal Family. The monarchy's crown jewels are by Garrard.

They used to be in partner with Asprey called Asprey & Garrard, and are considered quite exclusive. More so than Tiffany & Co, etc.

The New York salon is now in SoHo, and is apparently appointment only. Colette Paris also carries Garrard. :flower:

The split happened in 2000. Jade Jagger is now the creative director of the label in which she designs the entire collection. Sort of like Hussein Chalayan for Asprey back then.

Her style is sort of rock chic with tradition. :flower:

i see...interesting...did not know that...not really into jewelry...but am starting to pay attentions more these days..

thanks for the info :flower:

Cant be too exclusive. My mother and I went there. I remember they had the best yellow diamond necklace that I got to try on. Too bad I would have had to sell my left kidney in order to buy it

They have a new boutique now in New York. At 133 Spring Street, SoHo.

Although IMO the best yellow diamonds are from Graff. :flower:

I went a few years ago and it was off Broadway. It must have moved since.

I'm not an expert on diamonds so I wouldn't know the difference between a good one and a bad one. However this necklace was gorgeous!

The Crown Jewels have various different makers. The oldest English piece is the staff of St. Edward (1661), which is probably a leetle bit older than Garrard! (about 100 years older, I think) :flower:

I've only ever seen one piece by Jade for Garrard, it's a large circular pendant on a long chain and in the circles are these kind of v shaped diamond bands.......pretty, but nothing special IMO, my vote goes to other jewelry houses.

yah...i wasn't too hot on what i saw on the site...the ad's cute though...
