Gary Oldman

^ haha I know! I can't believe he's almost 50, he looks amazing.

Have you seen him in Dracula? God, that'll tip you over the edge:blush::lol:

I remember when he shot a commercial for Nokia with his phone. The man just shot a floater tube in a pool!

Genius

that's when i first noticed him! he's one of my favorites!!!!! when i found out he was going to be sirius, i was totally over the moon! and he does a great job! i love sirius' wardrobe, esp. the jackets, totally believable as he's from a pretty wealthy wizard family.

^ I know, I thought the costume department did an amazing job with him, I was watching a behind the secenes thing and Gary was saying that he really felt the part because the clothes were so good.

I never realised but I had actually scene Dracula a few times before & never noticed Gary. He was the best thing about the film, Winona was terrible imo!

The veteran actor plays Sirius Black in the latest movie 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', and Daniel admits the pair enjoyed some revealing chats on set.

The 18-year-old star revealed: "Gary did give me a few really good pieces of advice about girls that I'm definitely going to stick to.

"One of them was that you've got to find out if they get on with their parents, which is a good rule of thumb.

"I can't repeat the rest. It was a private moment between myself and Gary!"

Gary recently revealed the pair formed a close friendship during filming.

He said: "The kids in the movies are excellent, and in some ways it's the closest thing to theatre, because there's that sense of the company.

"And you become close and don't all drift away like you do after most films. The people working on it are so good, and Dan in particular has become a good friend. We've become quite close."

WTF/LOL/EW/awww all at the same time.

does anyone else find it amusing how Gary looks so attractive and Daniel looks like a moron?

I havent seen either the Scarlet Letter or Immortal Beloved but I was going to buy either one. Can anyone recommend what the best of the two is?

I really liked Immortal Beloved - A fine performance and a very good film!
Scarlet Letter was unfortunately nothing special - but watching anything with Gary Oldman for me, is pure magic - try and rent it if you can!

Can I just say I love how much this thread has picked up! I'll update as often as I can! Karma to all of you! Thanks to everyone for contributing opinions, pictures and videos! I'll be watching The Backwoods soon - so I'll post a few captures soon.

Immortal beloved was incredibly beautiful. The scene where Gary (as Beethoven) lays his head down on the piano and plays the 1st movement of Moonlight Sonata, it was magical and unforgettable. To this day, I still tear when I think of that scene ^_^

^ Me either, please do post when you can iamthewalrus!

Well i was intending to buy Immortal Beloved but I can't get it on dvd anywhere in the UK, but I'm really desperate to watch :(

Could someone make screen-caps from his Nokia ad? I tried to but they came out grainy:flower:

the level of awkwardness that rises whenever i see daniel radcliffe is almost unbearable.
like... my eyes just started watering.

such an unfortunate juxtaposition. but goodness, gracious me! gary oldman is the finest thing ever. ever.

and Rosencratz and Guildenstern Are Dead is easily the BEST BEST BEST movie in the ENTIRE world. Hilarious. brilliant. (ruins the read of Hamlet after, however.... in a very lovely way.)

i would like to hear all of gary oldman's wisdom on

sorry for the craptastic quality
