I adore the glasses of the first lady in #282 anyone knows who makes them? I love this look as I hate the square glasses...

That shape is pretty basic, I'd say any optical line that does acetate frames will have something close. My Paul Smith ones looks pretty similar. Rayban prob has something.

And I actually think it can be a bit silly to wear glasses when you don't need them... just because it's a trend. I don't think it looks good on that girl at all, I don't know if she actually wear glasses, but it does look like she just put them on as a last item to complete her look of that moment.

Thanks cinechrome I have actually looked around a few places for that shape, I guess my search continues I don't want anything too overwhelming as I have quite a small face.

I'm a guy that normally wears glasses. I'm nearsighted with my right eye. I can't see myself wearing huge eye glasses like the ones in this thread. I'd wear novelty glasses maybe, but these glasses are overkill. I've barely tolerated huge sunglasses. I always try to find function in most styles. For example, I had my good pair of cargo pants to carry some extra stuff around in. I'd like to get some new cargos that fit my current body. I don't think you NEED huge eye glasses unless you have eyes big enough so that you don't look like a prick. I wear glasses as prescribed by eye doctors. I would NEVER wear huge glasses like the ones in this thread.

I think most of the frames in this thread are normal to small with the exception of a few. Why will you never wear oversized glasses? (but will wear cargo pants?) I think up to a certain "bigness" there is a function. I really dislike seeing the edges of the glasses and parts of my sight blurry due to too small of a frame. Plus, I have a huge head.

I don't see what is the big deal about people who don't need glasses wearing them. I think slowly glasses might be turning into an accessory like earrings, bracelets, only for decorative purposes. Comparing glasses to wheelchair is just silly. I need glasses and I don't think it's such a sufferment to wear them so we can be compared to someone who can't walk. I think it's great people have grown more receptive of glasses.B)

i have a pretty extensive collection of frames, but these are the only three i have my prescription in. i mostly wear contacts. the first two pairs are silhouettes, and the third are apparently fendi, but i don't know how legit that is since they were only $40.

Where did everyone get their geek glasses??? I really want a pair but i've not been able to find any and i know American Apparel has some... where else can i buy some

or does anyone have a pair they'd be willing to split with?

i personally think that geek glasses are really cute and quirky. i prefer them to be prescription-less even though i wear glasses normally. i just wear them like sunglasses with my contacts on. i got mine at a thrift store for 12 bucks and they kind of remind me of wayfarers, only with clear lenses

omg i saw them on a mens campaign in there and asked one of the assistants and she told me they wont be stocking them at my store i was so upset lol
