Geek Glasses

I remember i saw a girl 3 years ago wearing geek glasses and I said "oh no it's so excessive I will never like this trend". But the more I see people wearing these glasses, the more I like them... I'm a victim...

does anyone know where i can buy these glasses? they don't even have the model number on the chanel site. they're just taunting me :(

ebay, high street stores...
if u read through the thread u will certainly get an idea where to get them :flower:

i have a question though...if u buy online, how do u get an idea about their size/how wide they are...i have a relatively slender face and 80% of all the 'normal' sized glasses/shades are always too big for me...and those measurements dont make sense to me :ninja: can someone help me, pls?

i got some on oxford street in london this past weekend..

So, today I saw a pair of such glasses at H&M. But I've got one problem. Someone was telling me that these glasses are mainly new rave-ish and they're completely stupid so I'm a little bit confused now.
Do the new rave kids use the geek glasses trend for themselves in order to have a 'own' distinct feature?
Well, I'm pretty sure they do and it's not a typical new rave thing because of the many pictures of other people in this thread but I hate to get associated with the whole new rave trend when I'm wearing them.
I don't dress like a new rave kid so that might help, doesn't it?

These are the H&M glasses:

wear them in ur own kinda way and u wont look like ur following a silly trend :D

yeah I mean....neon would be considered a nu-rave thing but you could totally wear neon in an unexpected way. Besides who cares what other people say? I almost never listen to what others say about style (excluding tfsers who have an idea what they are doing) since most people's ideas are so commercial anyway.

fairy - do you own other pairs of glasses which fit? I would just measure, with a measuring tape, the frames across the bridge from arm to arm and get an idea of the width and ask any potential ebayer to measure from arm to arm and see if it's too big or not. That's all I could think of.....

^^totally agreed with the first part of ur post and thanks for the advice too, ill try to do that :flower:

american apperal have loads and loads of styles in saw them today .. they are grewat

fairy, I thought Meg's advice on measuring was spot on. When I was doing my own ebay searching, I found many of the vendors listed the width of the frames (arm to arm).

I got these a while back on ebay. I found them while searching for "buddy holly" glasses, but the ones I got weren't the typical thick frame all around: They're thick on top and skinny, wire-type on the bottom.

Where do you get the Luella ones? I need to update my old specs' and I like the ones from Luella. I never saw any in her shop nor on her online site?

I wish I could pull them off, but sadly I don't know. I would have to try. Two friends of mine, whom I think can.

ehh... i'm no so impressed with this trend.
If i was born in Canada i may have liked it, but back in my home countries i've seen too many stereotypical geeks like figures with geekglasses being portrayed. whatever i tell myself deep inside me i seem to resent it greatly.

I've been wearing this heavy frame since elementary school.
Purely functional than decorative to me

my waiter at a mexican restaurant the other night was really rocking this trend..:mowhawk:
you could just tell he was from southern calif....
