I think I may see the Strangers this week...First, I thought I would have to wait until it came out on video, because most people I know dislike scary movies and then I found out that two of my friends wanted to see it; and we hung out last night, but we met up too late to go to a movie...
She looks really scary in those previews... I know I'm gonna be grabbing people's arms the whole movie to protect me...
I saw the strangers today.
It was pretty good, and Gemma wasn't bad in it.
She had a few lines, and also stabbed a girl.
You never saw her face, but overall she did a good job.
I saw the strangers! every second she was on screen was heavenly. even when she did her evil deeds. and i called it! i knew they were gonna show her face! always beautiful. ooh and very tall and leggy at the end i must say. it was cute.
Just got back from The Strangers... my friends were definitely disappointed, and to be honest -- so was I.
Not in Gemma, I actually thought she did a great job. There was something sweet and friendly about her character that you were supposed to feel regardless of what she was doing and I totally got that. Her on-screen time was better than I expected as well. I thought I wouldn't be freaked out by "Dollface" knowing the dollface was behind the mask but I was wrong! She made me jump a couple of times.
I didn't hate it. It just left me wanting more... and not in a good way. I don't think I'd watch it again. However, I'd love to get my hands on The Black Balloon. Meh.
i knowwww! im like dying to see the black balloon now. gemma is just fantastic on the big screen. she is like a new gift/sensation to the world of cinema. kinda like scarlett johansson after Lost In Translation.
