Have been a fan of her since 2005 and then....blah.
FWs are still weird without her, I still cant get used to not seeing her on runways.

Now I just want to know what she's up to...like everyone in this thread
I even partially came to terms with an idea that she might never model again but I dont want her to go out of the spotlight completely!

yeah thats what I meant. I dont really care if she stops modelling, but it would be nice to know what she's up to. She was always so inspiring to me.

gosh, a day of a model (esp a big model like Gemma) during FWs sounds so crazy

i despise models who turn into actresses, i loved the black balloon only because it was beautifully filmed and most of the scenes with gemma could make beautiful photographs.

i want to see gemma in pictures, because all the pictures of gemma are always artistic and original, she inspires photographers so they can't take ordinary pictures

But reading the vogue diary thing above kind of makes me sympathize with her. Fans have every right to want to see more work from her and whatnot, but just imagine what it feels like to have your mouth "succumb to paralysis due to extended smiling."

Well if she becomes a great actress, then she'll be on the cove of Vogue US and maybe she'll steal campaigns and other covers from models!

I think to say that she is "slacking" is a bit harsh. We all know that a modelling career does not last forever. Gemma is simply taking a well deserved break. She has made more money in 5 years than most of us will ever make in a lifetime! She has worked full time with limited holiday's due to a busy schedule and sacrificed time with her family. Yes, obviously she did choose this lifestyle but now it's her time to reap the rewards of this sacrifice by enjoying her time off. Remember Gemma is only 22.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a comeback too. Hey if Claudia, Linda, Christy and Naomi can do it....

Today I saw her in a huge Balenciaga book at school! There were couple of great black/white pictures of her at the end of the book and I was really delighted to see her It was kind of refreshing!
