Inside Cover was incredulous when we saw Perth's international face of fashion in this steamy ad in a glossy women's magazine. None other than Gemma Ward, the catwalk talent sprung to fame in TV's Search for a Super Model in 2002, was modelling Calvin Klein's new scent, Obsession Night.
The eagle-eyed among you would have noticed that clothes-horse Gemma appears to be sans clobber, exposing what may politely termed cleavage a derriere.
Not so Long ago 17 year-old Gemma was at the centre of a local brouhaha over sexually provocative commercials for Perths fashion chain Live Clothing.
Some young professionals objected to the ads back then in 2003, claiming the sexually charged material suggested onlookers should aspire to be one of the beautiful people like our Gem.
Vivien's Modelling Agency in Sydney, which represents her, is trumpeting the Clavin Klein commercial as a major achievement for the teenager to land a worldwide campaign with a leading fashion house.
Model booker Susie Deveridge said:"The pictures we think are very, very beautiful."
Gemma's New York-based agency booked the job and she worked with a photographer she knew well
What sort of age was she meant to be in the ad?
"I think she's an ageless sort of girl," Ms Deveridge gushed. "Such an amazing model. She can slip into anything you ask her to do."
New York-based Gemma jetted back to Perth recently before heading off again to Beijing to be cover girl with a handful of other models on the launch edition of Chinese Vogue.
"I'm told all 300,000 copies sold out in three hours," Ms Deveridge gasped.

does anyone have this "terrible" Live clothing ad? I really was to little and at that age to me the Live shops boomed loud music and the clothes were all to big for me they scared me!!
