Can someone refresh my memory - who is Tonks in Harry Potter?

In all her interviews she mentions that she'll love to act. Plus, there's an Australian girl playing Pansy Parkinson - though she does have a British as well as an Australian passport.

Anyway - I'm a little bit doubtful because haven't they just started filming the 4th book - actually have they even started that?

Everything I have ever read says you have to be a citizen of the United Kingdom to be in an HP movie, so if someone had dual citizenship that would work.

Other then where it is needed like characters from other countries, I do not think they should use people outside of the UK, I rather like that rule.

Tonks is a metamorphmagi and very young Auror who helps Harry travel safely in a few parts of the book and helps at the end with other things. Despite her ability, based on the description of how she looks 'naturally' Gemma is far too pretty and not tomboy enough to be her.

Which is all a moot point as long as the casting directors haven't ditched that rule, which I highly doubt.

I don't know her, and have never seen her act, but somehow I think she would be very good at it - from the interviews I've seen I think she speaks very well, very clear and pleasant sounding

Poo, you seem very mean or else just totally unsupportive of a fellow aussie... You should be proud of Gemma.. I've read quite a few comments you've made in this forum about her, and it's just so strange to me why you wouldn't be so happy for someone you went to school with to have made it so far. All you seem to do it belittle her.. Sorry.. I rant...

She looks even younger than normal (to me) in those two pictures! I don't think being super tan suits her - love her pale skin best. But she looks so young.
