Yikes a book!
It is amazing to me also why I find her look so fascinating.

I know there are changes occuring with all of us in successive picture taking sessions but my eyes are telling me that this is not what we were seeing.
It helps remembering that this is the girl of 1,000,000(+) looks and facial expressions. I have seen pics of her where her jaw looks non-existent and then 1 mile wide in the same editorial or shoot. She has an endless number of facial expressions and I have yet to figure that out. Perhaps this also is why i find myself coming back her again and again curious what Gemma I am going to see next -- even from one photoshoot taken in a single day.
And I am sure there are changes going on with everything from her skin tone to her teeth whitening to aging/maturing to whatever -- just like there are with all of us. Anyhow, I do appreciate your thoughts and think this is a fascinating subject since I can't say that I see what you see -- but think I see what you are describing but see it differently. How is that for confusing?
Also, I am acutely aware that I don't want to come across as the fellow who is defending her just to be defending her -- I'll look for some other pics that illustrate my perception about her contrasting appearances and try to post them, but suspect browsing this thread gives plenty of
We have seen so many views of her that change from day to day and moment to moment that I am not sure if we'd recognize her in her un made up "normal" look. Some of her laughing shots are most revealing -- she has a very prominent jaw and where you might see weak facial structures I find incredibly strong ones.
Her overall "look" remains a mystery to me and perhaps this may also help explain something I have never understood: why some girls become popular models and others who I think are more attractive do not. But I certainly can see why with Gemma but find it hard to describe. Also, one of my --
and I suspect OUR -- favorite things about observing models here is how many of them pale in comparison to some people we see everyday -- if you go back to the basic minimalist look.
And usually Gemma sparkles there but not always just like any other human being -- and no pic shown thus far has shown what she really looks like when she wakes up without make-up or after an all nighter of partying or staying up too late. Even in the so-called minimalist jeans shots there is make-up and professional photography working in more than a little added effect--
Well I'll stop writing a wandering book for now.... But don't think anyone has any reason to be upset with you -- some may just be suspending judgment or seeing or thinking something else.... Also, perhaps saying things like eeww may not be the most diplomatic... but we also have to cut each other some slack in here from time to time and I like seeing off the cuff remarks (instead of books like this).
anyhow, yeah I know that trained blank runway stare is not the most appealing feature for models, and it robs Gemma of what I find most beguiling about her -- that frequently exercised broad natural
looking smile of hers -- something you don't see much of in the too oftentimes overly serious world of modeling.
And while she is a "model" -- taller than most, much more under the microscope than most of us, etc, etc., she is a still a human being whose laughter and tears feel just like ours do -- no matter how much better or worse she make look being photographed doing such things.
Argh, typer's cramp.
Cheers !
